Blimey

I take it back about him being a Saddle Sniffer

doggiesayswoof · 28/03/2007 10:51

I sorted out my recycling last night.

Found 3 boden catalogues from the last 3 weeks !!! 2 women's and 1 mini boden.

RosaLuxembourg · 28/03/2007 10:54

I got a boyleg halterneck last summer. It was the first time I have paid £38 for a swimsuit. I love it. No worrying about how much ample buttock is showing - and no danger of inadvertantly arising topless from the waves as I did previous summer in my bargain Sainsbury's bathers. (Am a 36DD so not a pretty sight.)

Enid · 28/03/2007 11:01

do they really stop your bum hanging out?

bozza · 28/03/2007 11:12

This is when I a realise I really am not middle class. Not one item of Boden in our household despite getting regular catalogues - someone must have sold my details. I think I saw a mother in a boden top at DS's swimming lesson last night but only know because of mumsnet.

Very posh Fio - I don't even have second hand boden - DD is largely clothed in secondhand next though.

princessmelTingChoccyEggs · 28/03/2007 11:16

I only have Boden things that are passed on from next door neighbours dd!!

Issymum · 28/03/2007 11:21

"do they really stop your bum hanging out? "

That's the question that interests me too Enid. I have a boy-leg swimsuit and my bum still hangs out. Admittedly it's an inferior M&S one. The only swimsuits that I've ever found that put a definitive stop to bum-hanging are these ones:

the most boring swimsuit on the planet

Dull they may be but they do the job and I like them so much I'm getting one sent to my company's office in the US so that I can pick it up next time I'm there!

Issymum · 28/03/2007 11:22

Sorry, the suit is an inferior M&S one. My arse is unbranded but large and wobbly. "Jelly on a plate" as DD2 likes to sing whenever she catches sight of it naked.

GameGirly · 28/03/2007 11:24

And why do I ALWAYS get a special offer in the post the minute I've placed an order, hey. HEY?????

Enid · 28/03/2007 11:25

lol at your inferior m and s arse issymum. That swimsuit looks good. I have a winning combo of long body and fat arse - so swimsuits immediately disappear up crack and I spend the whole time tugging them down or wearing a sarong

Issymum · 28/03/2007 11:36

Then this long torso one is the one for you.

They are good suits. I think this will be my 4th!

RosaLuxembourg · 28/03/2007 11:44

Boden boyleg really does keep your arse under cover. And mine is vast.

newgirl · 28/03/2007 14:17

so true enid!! esp 4 year old parties

mamatres · 28/03/2007 14:28

do they stop unruly- pubes- that- have- started- sprouting- down- your- leg from showing too? cos i need one of them

RosaLuxembourg · 28/03/2007 14:29

Only a full wetsuit covers mine Mamatres

twojags · 28/03/2007 21:12

Have just done the buy 4 and get 1 for £1 thingy...showed dh new spotty dress for work and said 'but its ok it was only £1!' Watched the cogs whirring in his brain as he worked out what else I had had to buy to get a Boden dress for £1 why can't I keep my big mouth shut
Still as friend pointed out men can be a bit dense about women's wardrobes the accuse you of buying something new when it has been at the back of the wardrobe for 5 yrs. Hopefully the reverse is true and if I hide some of the stuff for a while he will forget......?

Have also pointed out the Boden has quite a good resale value on Ebay

DrMarthaMcMoo · 28/03/2007 21:17

I note blasted Johnny-come-lately sent me this code three weeks after I ordered...yes you guessed it...three things.

elliott · 28/03/2007 21:21

I don't think this offer is as great as its cracked up to be - has anyone actually saved a whole heap more than if they just used the 10% off with free postage click through?
I nearly fell for it...then worked out that I was only saving £4 compared with the usual deal - and would have bought 3 more items I had never intended to get. And yes, the timing after the last offer that I WAS seduced by...
Clever, that Johnnie, damned clever.
