in 10 years time and you are looking through photos - you will blush too

zippitippitoes · 27/03/2007 15:48

oh that is what i was going to say accessories

or swap with a friend

Beetrootccio · 27/03/2007 15:49

insideout?

tigerschick · 27/03/2007 15:52

my aunt wore the same dress to her ds and sds weddings, 3 weeks apart. She just accessorised differently - like her hat had sunflowers on for one (not as bad as it sounds - honest) and roses for the other. Everyone who said anything praised her for her inventiveness (sp?) The hat was the one she bought for her own wedding 2 years earlier!

nailpolish · 27/03/2007 15:59

this is the dress

i have gold sandals and bag and frock coat

what could i wear the next time??

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 27/03/2007 16:12

cardi or wrap instead of coat
add spectacular hat or hairpiece
same shoes will be fine, maybe white or cream bag

tigerschick · 27/03/2007 16:14

Like the idea of a wrap MrsB and a really interesting hat or fascination.
If the shoes and bag match then I don't see a need to change either.

piglit · 27/03/2007 16:17

Agree. A wrap (pashmina type thing in the same colour as the flowers on the dress?) and poss matching shoes.

And a big hat.

Nice dress btw.

princessmelTingChoccyEggs · 27/03/2007 16:17

I like the dress. I've worn the same thing before but different guests. I don't think I would if same guests unless I really couldn't get anything else to wear. If I did i'd add different accesories. Bags, hair etc

AxelF · 27/03/2007 16:25

Pretty dress - but easily remembered as stands out so I wouldn't given a choice especially not the following week. You will probably end up spending as much to disguise the same dress as you would buying a new one you already are able to accessorise. Just need to shop around or borrow?

deaconblue · 27/03/2007 16:50

I am nasty old boot, I would talk about you. Unless you were my friend then I would only talk about you to dh and my mum

deaconblue · 27/03/2007 16:51

The dress is super gorg though

Hathor · 27/03/2007 16:53

Lovely dress. I would disguise it - wear it the second time without the belt if you can. And with a pashmina/shrug. By the time you get to the dancing nobody will care.

BassMama · 27/03/2007 17:06

Lovely dress.

You cant wear the same thing 2 weeks in a row though!! with the same people?! I would definitely notice if someone did that.. and would think it was very strange. Lazy maybe? Not that i'm calling you lazy, IYKWIM

Try new look, they have some lovely dresses in at the moment, and they are all only about £20 or so. And you can get shoes and accessories in there to match, shoes for about £20 as well!

But i really wouldn't be wearing the same dress, 2 weeks in a row, even just for nights out! Especially not to a wedding though..

nailpolish · 27/03/2007 17:26

lol bassmama

dont hold back will you?

its just sucha gorgeous dress...

ok will get thing for head and different coat

and different shoes and bag possibly..

ta everyone

BassMama · 27/03/2007 17:29

SORRY!!

Didnt mean to sound harsh..

Hope the weddings both go well, and i;m sure you will look gorgeous whatever you wear! x x

JodieG1 · 27/03/2007 17:33

I'd probably notice.

Tutter · 27/03/2007 17:39

agree that what would work brilliantly is to wear a (long?) jacket one week, then a short snug wrap-around cardi the next - that would be diff enough imo

or a wrap instead of either of the above?

am thinking a deep red/raspberry...

Tutter · 27/03/2007 17:40

(but yes, btw, i would still notice )

Iota · 27/03/2007 17:51

I'd wear it twice if it was a nice dress and I looked good in it - gotta make the most of it IMHO
