WHAt is the answer to those fuzzy frizzy hairs that make my hair look crap?

No matter how I dry and style my hair, I always get some frizzy hairs on top of my head that stop it ever looking anything near sleek. I don't use heat products except on the ends so it's not that. It's not over processed (I don't think) WHat is the cause and has any one found the solution? Tia

Friday ease

SissySpacekAteMyHamster · 25/07/2017 14:34

Ha ha meant to say Frizz Ease!

Mothervulva · 25/07/2017 14:36

It's just new hair isn't it? Hair gel, apply when wet.

Cabawill · 25/07/2017 14:45

I saw a tip where you spray hairspray on a toothbrush and comb them down. Keep meaning to try it.

Thank you. What perplexes me though is why some people have none of this frizz and their hair is all sleek, same length with no short stragglers and nicely lying flat. This is what made me think it's somehow damaged hair rather than new hair

Is your hair fine?

Naughty1205 · 25/07/2017 14:55

Mine is like this too. Have tried everything! No matter how I style it or what I use it have small hairs sticking up. I bought a redken product online and used it today and even that hasn't made a difference! Redken frizz dismiss is the name of it, think I read recommendations on mn for it and it gets great reviews. Mine are mainly short grey hairs that are wiry as hell but have had frizzy hair all my life and it's straight!

Tiny bit of hair oil. I use Nuxe Huile Prodigeuse.

Thank goodness it's not just me!
Yes it is fine but lots of it. These hairs are a bit wiry though. Grey for sure but I add a dye to it (not bleach and one of the more "natural" dyes) its def something I've noticed more
Now that my hair is more grey, the whole texture has changed from silky and soft, to wiry and potentially frizzy.

I found switching to Sulfate and paraben free shampoos and conditioners helped- there are a few different brands out there.

Cheekyandfreaky · 25/07/2017 15:06

Just to add, this problem only arose for me after my first pregnancy, before that I didn't know what frizz was!

Naughty1205 · 25/07/2017 16:23

All the paraben and sulphate free shampoos etc don't make a difference to mine. It's particularly frizzy since I had ds 17 months ago but was always frizzy. I can't think of anything I haven't tried! I also dye my hair but with a semi permanent only every 8 weeks or so

MrsGotobed · 25/07/2017 17:40

I get this too since I started going grey.

Lordy, you should see me if the weather is humid or I've been out in light drizzle ... frizzy wiry hair a-go-go.

Paintbox · 25/07/2017 18:04

See, I read in here all the time that people who have let their hair go grey, report such soft shiny hair. Since mine has started going grey it is coarse and wiry.
