Can't believe I'm starting this thread. . .but, we're going to Disneyland Paris soon, last time we went I wore fit flops and while they were initially comfortable, they ripped my feet to shreds.

I'm thinking that maybe crocs sandals might be the way to go, the flip flop style ones, has anyone got them and are they comfortable/suitable for lots of walking?

OP posts:

If you need something for walking and converse are too flat what about Nike Internationalists?

Acopyofacopy · 22/07/2017 19:46

That toe post is going to shred your feet, too, OP!
Get yourself a good pair of summer vented trainers!

samlovesdilys · 22/07/2017 19:48

Fit flops make some flip flop style sandals...or I had some hush puppies sandals for walking around Rome last year and were VERY comfy!!

MSLehrerin · 22/07/2017 19:54

I've got a pair of Crocs flip flops and they're very comfortable and don't rub. I wouldn't chance brand new ones if you're walking lots though. Wear them in first if you can. I got the CrocBand ones in blue. I also have a pair of CrocBand clogs which are the comfiest footwear known to mankind but ugly as hell.

FitFlops are great too and you can now get styles without toe posts.

I don't get on well with Converse either - thought I was the only person in the universe!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 22/07/2017 20:30

I have some super comfortable Fly London sandals. Can walk for hours in them.

Hoppinggreen · 22/07/2017 20:32

I've got some Sketchers sandals that are super comfy

RayofSun · 22/07/2017 20:34

I have the crocs that you have linked to and get compliments about them ALL THE TIME. I think it's because they don't look like crocs but they are super comfy. Would definitely recommend. FYI I had to size up for them I walked around Florida in the for 2 weeks. My feet were very happy!

LoupGarou · 22/07/2017 21:09

I have the Crocs Isabella, and the Huarache (with the back, not the slides) style they did a few years ago and they are brilliant, I can walk all day in them over rocky/uneven terrain and my feet fine great at the end of the day, no blisters at all. They're also great for evenings with maxi dresses, I have the Isabella ones in several different colours Smile

LoupGarou · 22/07/2017 21:11

Should have added that I have this version of the Isabella and not the toe post version...

Another for sketchers go walk.

Dailystuck71 · 22/07/2017 22:04

I can't wear converse. They tear my feet to bit.

MSLehrerin · 22/07/2017 22:09

Me too @Dailystuck71 glad it's not just me! I think I've got weird feet.

cottagecheesequeen · 22/07/2017 22:10

converse are ontrend for mums but they are not comfortable after a couple of hours of walking.

Fit flops alternating with a good support trainer.

MSLehrerin · 22/07/2017 22:12

Can you recommend any good supportive trainers @cottagecheesequeen? I've spent a fortune recently and have been disappointed at every turn 😕

ElzBelz · 22/07/2017 23:46

Whatever ones you choose get some of this it's so handy and works so well. I keep it in my bag and whenever I feel a little rubbing I just put some on and have no more problems. Used it this week on my heel of some ballet type pumps I've not worn since last year and also on the outside of my pinky toe with a new pair of sandals. Worth every penny!

maudeismyfavouritepony · 23/07/2017 00:20

I have some basic Crocs flip flops, which are very comfy and ones with a slight wedge heel which are super comfy. The latter are uglier but so comfy I don't mind.

Unihorn · 23/07/2017 00:25

I've got Skechers which are too hot sometimes. These are my go to theme park flip flops though, highly recommend:

My two pairs have probably done about 400 hours of Disney parks with no issues.

circumcisiondecision · 23/07/2017 00:35

The Crocs Cleo that Shiny posted are amazing shoes for holidays - sooo comfortable, so light to pack, and completely indestructible (like you can just wash them if they get dusty or dirty - and they're good to go again). Equally good for city streets or the beach.... you could holiday with just the one pair of shoes if you were travelling light. They have been my staple for several summer holidays.

ChishandFips33 · 23/07/2017 00:39

I have Crocs sandals too and love them on holiday - walk for miles in them

For what you are wearing them for I don't see a problem as comfort over fashion would be a priority

I also have Karimoor walking sandals and Ecco gladiators but Crocs are my go-to if I want assurance of no pain

sunshineunicorn · 23/07/2017 08:57

I have these and they are super comfy. I bought them when my arches fell. I can't do shoes in summer and don't know how people do disney all day in trainers - don't your feet get all sweaty?

Crocs!!
CurlsLDN · 23/07/2017 09:00

Just got back from Disney Florida, I wore Skechers go walks, as did seemingly every other woman in the parks! They weren't too hot there, the gowalks have thin light uppers

BusterGonad · 23/07/2017 22:42

This isn't the thread for me as I'm neither a Croc lover or a Sketcher lover! 😂
