If you've got fine but curly hair what style do you have?

I've got naturally curly hair. Not very tight curls but pretty curly. My hair is fine, flyaway, goes frizzy easily and is fragile and breaks easily. Basically it's pretty rubbish hair!

It's currently below shoulder length but I just tie it up all the time I rarely wear it down.

I'm thinking of getting it cut and looking for inspiration. I always see other girls with curly / wavy bobs but worry it wouldn't work on my hair

I'm mid-30s so don't want to age myself, but would like something more sophisticated than my current scruffy ponytail!

My hairdresser assured me I couldn´t have my hair shorter. Then -I moved to a country where lots of people have curly hair and the haridresser immediately gave me a jawlength layered style which looks fab.

I also don´t use silicones and this helps it to bounce up not flop. I´ve not really found a good styling product for it yet (and am teed off with buying things that are no good).

I have exactly your kind of hair and lots of it. I have had it in the same style forever: just below shoulder-length, some layers at the bottom and some slightly shorter layers around my face.

I then wash, dry 80% of the way and put my hair in pin curls. I leave it to fully dry overnight and hey presto, controlled curls.

It can be tough hair but I love mine - and I get strangers commenting/asking how I get it every so often (it helps that it is auburn/ginger and huge so it's normally the first thing anyone sees of me Grin)

Mine has suddenly gone tight curls, I have it below shoulder length but I did have a bob short up the back and longer to the front that looked good, I clipped the front up for exercise x

Exactly my hair too. Its shoulder length with couple of layers. I often dry it flicky which looks really good or dry it flicky then scrunch the ends so its tousled and wavy. I love it.
When im in spain or its hot and humid here it goes curlier and looks great. Ive just had it highlighted so with the layers it looks like it has some volume.

I have hair like this. I straighten it to within an inch of it's life and tie it up in a pony tail, bun or clip. Every time I do this I wish I was brave enough to just let it be.

Short, jaw length with layers. Gets very curly - prob best described as cherub curls despite me being 40+.

I would disagree with it needing to be longer to weigh it down - I find the shorter it is, the more it bounces up and gets tighter, which makes the most of the curl and allows the hair to form curls, not frizz and do what it wants to do.

Also, the finer it is, the stronger hold styling product I need - so gel all the way, not mousse total opposite of what I have done all my life

I am currently working my way through the British Curlies shop. Loving Boucleme gel. Curly Q Milkshake Curl Lotion for Fine Hair is great for second day curls and really creates curls again but smells overwhelmingly of coconut which I am not sure I like.

Search Pinterest for short curly bob, or similar, there's loads of inspiration on there for hair like ours and it's easier to describe to a hairdresser if you have a photo.

Mine is in a longish bob, a little longer at the front than the back, and layered and I love it!

My hairdresser is awesome as she understands I don't use regular shampoo, so we just deep condition before she layers it, then gently dries it to encourage the curls, then she cuts each curl to finalise the shape.
