Perfect going out top, in a single colour

I'm going on holiday in 3 week's time and want a top that I can wear out in the evenings.
I'm looking for a lightweight top that is fairly long (but not too long) more mid bum length.
It needs to have short sleeves or sleeveless (but not vesty) and it has to be in a single colour that's bright enough to to go with dark skinny trousers, either black, navy or dark blue/navy jeans.
In a drapey material, that hangs nicely.

Does such a plain, good quality top exist? Confused
Everywhere I look it's all hideous patterns, weird sleeves and embelishments.

I would spend up to £50 on it, but can't go higher.

Hope you find something OP
must go and clean the ensuite as much as I enjoy surfing the internet!
Roman originals have loads of drape toos, I would be tempted to order from there then it's only one return
Good luck

I want to be one of those women - (you know the type) Every friendship group has one -The One Who Gets It Right.
These women seem to have a few simple 'going out' tops that they rotate on a regular basis. These tops are always a bit understated, have simple designs and hang just right. They're usually in a neutral or plain colour that can be dressed up with the right jewellery and the colour is just right for them and it never looks as if they've tried too hard or are trying to follow the latest fashion.

I want THAT top! Grin

I sometimes wonder whether Designers are encouraged to design hideous badly designed tops in garish colours because they know we will spend a lot of money buying tops before getting to the right one.

If clothese were better designed and there were more quality clothes at mid price range, we would get what we wanted straight away, instead of buying lots of 'mistakes'
They wouldn't make as much money out of us, because we would be happy with the first purchase.

Have you tried Cos OP?

Ive a few of these from Dorothy Perkins. I like them because i can wear a comfy/supportive bra with straps underneath with no nra straps on show. Ive had a few compliments too.

I've seen a top in the Jigsaw sale that I like, but need some advice on sizes? Confused
Mint Velvet have some nice tops as well.
