Shampoo that really cleans

I've horrid frizzy hair (no curls but frizz) and not sure if that is relevant or not but every time I wash my hair it just doesn't feel clean. In this humid weather it then gets bigger and feels awful, not clean and smooth at all.

Is there a shampoo that will make my hair feel nice? Thanks!

I very rarely wash my hair with shampoo but use conditioner following the curly girl method.
I changes my frizz into the lovely curls and waves of my youth.
I would really recommend it.
It's the oils that stop the frizz and strong shampoos, hair dyers etc rid the hair of the protective oils

Frizz dismiss- I haven't used the spray, but not generally a fan of sprays, feels like I have more control with cream.
You can get it from amazon, or a hairdressers that sells Redken. Just google. I paid £17 for a huuuuuuuge tube in the hairdressers that lasted me 4 months. Now get same tube from amazon for about £12.

I wash hair, generally with Aussie shampoo/Alberto balsam/the white elvive (no brand loyalty to shampoo)
Put a bit of Aussie conditioner on. Rinse.
Towel dry, comb. 5p pence piece (literally just that) of frizz dismiss, rub palms together, run through mid to bottom of hair, finish by wiping hand on top of parting/roots. Use tiny bit more if needed.
Blow dry. Then finish with babyliss big hair (yes...typical mn)
I then just use a bit of hair spray. Nothing else. My hair dresser sometimes uses another spray, but I don't know what it is!

It literally changed my life. I never used to wear my hair down. And it was the first product I've ever bought from the hair dressers.

As weird as this sounds it's Boots Sun and Swim that does it for me.

Separate bottles though, not the 2 in 1.

Oh and I only wash my hair every three days, Bit of dry shampoo on last day. It doesn't weigh hair down or make it greasy.

WildIrishRose1 I'm so glad it's not just me it doesn't work for. A couple of my friends raved about it but it's done nothing good at all for me.

For really clean hair I don't think you can beat Head & Shoulders, the citrus one. Always makes my hair feel super clean.

Every day no residue I love Aussie Mega. Smells lovely too.

Another vote for t gel. It's expensive but the only thing that truly cleans my hair.

ElizabethAllen · 20/07/2017 20:51

Ginfiend Thanks for that, I've ordered it!

I missed a parcel from the post office on Saturday and am hoping it's my frizz dismiss. I'll report back on my findings!!

Thanks all for the recommendations

I have the same hair type as you and highly rate Phillip Kingsley products.

Redken Cleansing Cream. Best clarifying shampoo ever!!!!

I used to (in the days when I dyed my hair) use Bodyshop Rainforest to deep cleanse my hair. It was too 'much' for regular use for me.

Years ago (before I had DC and I had money Grin ) Aveda Detoxifier.
