To discuss her outfits on this trip if anyone is interested!

I like the white arrival dress (can guarantee she changed nano second before the he plane landed tho!!!) and quite like the dress she's wearing this evening. Hate that pearl necklace though - really cheap looking.

George's shorts look like they're giving him a wedgie!

As an aside the Prada shoes she wore to the British Museum recently were fab.

The red dress did not suit her colouring at all.
Kate, her Mum and Pippa have all gone for the beige sandal look lately.
Personally I love the beige wedges Blush
I hope they're not wearing tights with them
Melania Trump, dare I say it, has struck out on that front. She goes bare legged on formal visits. Not for her the tyranny of having to wear a man made fabric on a hot day in a hot country.
There are other tyrannies she puts up with though.Wink

Loved all of today's outfits. The green dress tonight really suited her and the sandals were great too!!

Really like the yellow Jenny packham dress

SunshineOutdoors · 20/07/2017 23:08

Doesn't look very comfy on the stomach

SueMacartney · 20/07/2017 23:18

sowhat that whatkatewore website upthread is good if you want to avoid DM.

They zoomed on the clutch she had, I think with the Jenny packham dress, and you can see her watch. It's so boring! Doesn't even look that expensive. Just looks odd when the rest of the outfit is so beautiful and cost hundreds/thousands.

MercuryMadness · 21/07/2017 10:25

This does not suit her coloring at all, she just look washed out. And the necklace looks like Accessorize. A slightly more silvery colour dress would have been better, the shape and fabric are good.

She is very boring single minded about shoes. For years she wore those fucking awful nude Sledges and now she has moved to the Prada wavy sandal in black and nude. Ffs! Be a bit imaginative! Lovely shoe but no need to wear it everywhere.

This dress is fab - great colour for summer, lovely cut, interesting fabric. But why a nude clutch? It would have been great to see an emerald green clutch which would pop against he yellow. And look fun and modern. Or black if she can't be modern. But nude? Just screams granny with his great dress. Shame.

MercuryMadness · 21/07/2017 10:28

Forgot the pic!

What I find totally bizarre about the outfits are that she and William are completely un cordinated. By that I mean, Kate comes clomping out in high heels and a formal long-ish dress and William appears tie-less in rumpled trousers. Do they never speak about the degree of formality that they are going to adopt? I have visions of them meeting in the car and looking at each other in astonishment Grin

MercuryMadness · 21/07/2017 12:20

Her shoes baffle me. These are the ugliest shoes ever. Fact.

Those weeny clutch bags are dreadful. I don't know why she bothers with them, presumably so she has something to do with her hands.

The white dress is awful - it looks like it's been designed to have two nipples pointing in opposing directions. I assume it was worn because the designer was polish though

Urgh - I actually feel really sorry for Kate. Having to go out in public in these horrible monstrosities with a princess Anne hairdo and cheapo clip on earrings. I'm nearly 40 and I don't know anyone of my age who would wear any of these things or have a hairdo like that

MercuryMadness · 21/07/2017 12:38

But why does she wear cheap looking clip on earrings?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 21/07/2017 12:47

I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt that that outfit was some kind of polish homage, including the jewellery.

MercuryMadness · 21/07/2017 13:06

The red nylony-looking McQueen dress looks better on Net à Porter- looks like a deeper red. The one the Duchess is wearing looks cheap.

Nettletheelf · 21/07/2017 14:33

Yes, those espadrilles are really awful. In fact, they look borderline orthopaedic. She loves wedge espadrilles, doesn't she?

sowhatusernameisnttaken · 21/07/2017 15:30

Slightly off topic but I can't believe how much prince William has aged from their first engagement pics!

sowhatusernameisnttaken · 21/07/2017 15:32

Those wedge espadrilles are fro. Monsoon apparently - strange choice I thought? I know they're supposed to be connecting with the general public but still!

sowhatusernameisnttaken · 21/07/2017 15:33

Prince William needs a stylist badly!
I read recently that prince harry changed his look since meeting Meghan.

hollyisalovelyname · 21/07/2017 15:40

Mercury I like those wedges.
They lengthen the leg.
They are so much nicer than ankle strap monstrosities that cut your leg in half and show up your cankles ( if you have them) 😀

laramara · 21/07/2017 15:53

I suspect that she possibly just isn't all that really into clothes, relying heavily on the choices of her stylist. She clearly likes to play it safe, but at heart is very conservative hence those terrible wedges and clutch bags.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 21/07/2017 16:23

That necklace is awful, and the wedges.

Kate's makeup is much better though.

MercuryMadness · 21/07/2017 17:26

hollyisalovelyname

That's quite right! Those hideous shoes do lengthen the leg and reduce the candle effect. So quiet why the incredibly slim Duchess with her gorgeous tiny ankles chooses them is beyond me! She could have sexy wedge sandals instead of those "slightly trendy but earnest ceramics teacher from the 70s" sandals.
