A perfect dress up/ dress down navy dress! The search is on....

Who wants to help me find a great plain navy dress. On the list of requirements it needs to be

1. Navy (obviously)
2. Knee length
3. The sort of dress I can dress down with sandals or dress up with heals.
4. Scoop/ round/ v neck. No high necks allowed as they make my 32FF boobs look like they are by my belly button.
5. A decent fabric. Not thin clingy jersey/ tshirt material. And not polyester.
6. Not skin tight. Ideally fitted on top with some movement in the hip.
7. I can wear a bra with it (see comment re 32FF boobs).
8. Decent price.
9. Available in a 14.

Who wants to help me on my quest? Thank you!

I've got a Boden sundress which might fit the bill. It's more casual than dressy but thick material so heels might work.

I immediately thought of my favourite pied a terre dress but searching on HoF and JL websites shows no PaT dresses, I wonder if they've stopped retailing

It's denim but I just bought this

I'm a size 14/16 and it's really flattering. I feel very cool in it. You can wear a bra but it has to be strapless. And pockets!

Next have that linen one with the pockets at the moment. Very forgiving. But linen is quite a summery fabric. It's thick linen though.

Oh and the next linen dress that is linked everywhere seems to be sold out in every size at the moment.

I have several from Hobbs and Reiss that fit the bill nicely.

I second th Whistles Lola (and v similar styles they have). I have it in a few colours and wear year-round with different accessories to dress up/down. Worth the £ imo.

Their sizing is a little large for me but perfect if you have big boobs. Good fabrics and cut.

I got this dress from M&S, it's not a great photo but it's a lovely dress. Navy with white trim, it has a mesh like panel at the top but looks good with heels. I wore it for an interview and got the job, I felt good in the dress
