I think I've found the holy grail of no show socks

These lacy ones from Primark. Two pairs for £2.50. Ok lacy might not be your thing but crucially they have a latex band all the way round the top and also on the sole(which is cotton).

I wore them all day at work with my adidas gazelles and no slipping! This is unheard of for me as I have flipper feet...wide at toes and narrow at heels. This colour blended well with my dirty tanned feet but apologies if the picture doesn't show them clearly.

I found they worked well, too, but they almost had to be treated as disposable, which I hate. If they come off my feet without my toes having poked through, they fell apart in the wash

Ahh, maybe not the holy grail then! I haven't washed them yet and also hate disposable fashion!

It might be my feet, mind you! I'm a size 8 so most women's socks are at their limit on my feet.

Try Sperry Topsiders - not as cheap as Primark, but they really are no show and don't slip at all

The best I've found are Nike ones. No rubbery bit but they stay on well, I think because they come in different sizes so you can get ones that actually fit. They last for ages too, I've had mine years and they are still going.

Try Gap socks with little rubber bits that grip the back of your ankle

I love them too -have them in nude, black and white ..but at size 7 I agree that my toe sometimes ends up poking through the lace.

Primark do a pick of plain ones that I wear . They don't slip and wash well . Come in nude , white and black .

I've been wearing these all summer so far, they're fab. And haven't fallen apart in the wash either.

I got some in Matalan and they wash lovely.

Stance socks are what you need. You might be able to get them on amazon uk

The best ones I have are from next. They have a wee rubber bit over the heel. Wish I'd gotten more pairs.

I completely agree OP I just bought some last week and was so impressed that I've spent the week taking off my shoes to show all and sundry my great Primark find!

Well I guess it's different strokes for different folks! I'm waiting to see if my big toe pokes through as I have a long big toe and this sometimes happens with tights but so far no holes! I'm an average size 5-6 so the fit is perfect, no baggy bits.

I have tried the next ones with latex on the heel but these slipped for me and were too baggy to wear with ballerina pumps.
