Liked the look of these on the advert. Anyone got one yet? I have dark hair and quite dark skin so which of the brunette ones is best?

I saw these advertised in a mag, but I didn't like the look of the dark brunette ones - I am, too!

IMO, Laura Mercier Just Lips is a better neutral for dark brunettes or MAC.

MAC winds up being just as expensive as L'Oreal, too.

Not sure about glossy, wanted something for everyday use. Am determined to do make up daily, as look like knackered old hag

I got a free sample of this lipstick, felt it made me look a bit corpse-like....nice. Definately agree about cream blush, makes you look a bit more awake. For a natural lipstick I like something with a bit of pink to it, the L'oreal ones were too neutral IMO

ok will bow to superior make up knowledge and will get new lippy this week. Cod this will horrify you, but am still foundation virgin (well almost, did wear it on my wedding day) and wear tinted moisturiser instead.

Boots are giving £5 vouchers for Ruby and Millie; I acquired a nude cream lippie yesterday and it's a great shade.
(I'm a bottle blonde with quite fair skin, some nude shades are too corpse-like )

Cod - you seem very up on the fashion/beauty side of things - do you do this for a living?

foundation is vital

is this where I have been going wrong for almost 40 years

I have never worn foundation in my life

deaconblue · 27/03/2007 19:57

I think she means putting some slap on daily is vital. Haven't worn any since ds was born (except for the few times we've been out), but am sick of looking in the mirror and seeing a stranger grimacing back.

OP posts:
Twiglett · 27/03/2007 20:10

if you don't wear slap every day though it makes a difference when one does wear it
