What colour for summer nails?

I'm booked to have nails and toenails done with shellac which I'm promised should last my 14 day holiday. So what colour should I go for?
My nails are not long but nicely square shaped so I don't want blood red talons. I'm thinking of something neutral like the pic but is it too boring and are there any other suggestions?

I didn't realise about the sun cream but mossie spray strips it off too. My nails easily last two weeks at home but they start to come of after 5 days or so on holiday. I always go for a nice colour on my hands so it is well disguised.

What's the clour in your OP? It is lovely for aurumn and winter.

I always have very dark grey nails for holiday, looks good with a tan and great for evenings too. I have just dark grey glossy on my fingers and then usually dark grey with a fine glitter coat on my toes.

Just found photos of what I meant, the CND Asphalt on fingers, then Asphalt with a subtle glitter on toes

Is there a way to find genuine Shellac online or do you just have to buy from CND? Have got some of my own Boots gel varnish stuff but was hell to get off. Shellac was much easier. The stuff that just went on isn't a brand I recognised. Hope it's not too awful to remove

You can't buy CND shellac without a manicure qualification.

The chemicals in it will cause allergies to acrylic if not used correctly, so it's restricted.

There's been a sharp increase in acrylic allergies since home gel nail kits came out. Acrylic allergy doesn't sound awful to consumers but if you need to have dental cement or bone cement used on you in the future that will have acrylic in it.

The manicure is terrible (I do my own gel) but I love this taupe colour

Wow fluffy cloud. Who'd have thought it? Interesting stuff. WHIch is easiest to remove of the stuff anyone could buy? Or should I not bother?

When I go on holiday I always find my polish comes off with sun cream but normally get my toes done before I go and lasts forever. Love the asphalt and pebble and coral colours are fab too.

I wouldn't bother polka. It was never intended for consumers to use at home.

You can damage nails very easily & people blame the product but really it's poor work by the tech.

Good techs don't damage nails in the same way good colourists don't ruin your hair.

Love coral nails in summer - my favourite is OPI A good man-darin is hard to find.
