We have been invited to a wedding in the summer. I would love to wear a dress but nothing fits!! I am a size 8/10 but have virtually no bust. Please help!

I feel your pain Hickory. Trust me, get a strapless bra and some chicken fillets. Voila, you can wear anything.

filthymindedvixen · 24/03/2007 19:11

Also, give ius an idea of your budget and how 'posh' the wedding will be...

hickory · 24/03/2007 19:17

Oh no I don't know if I could wear chicken fillets, thay might fall out!!

It's quite a big do. A big family wedding and no I haven't got a big budget. I really don't want to spend lots of money on something I'll never wear again. On the average day I'd be wearing jeans or a pretty skirt in the summer.

or, go for dress which looks fab with small boobs - braless!

like this?

filthymindedvixen · 24/03/2007 19:20

Get a good strapless bra, trust me, They won't fall out....and if you get a dress with support vest in, or something it will make you feel more secure

filthymindedvixen · 24/03/2007 19:24

what colours do you like?

cheap but versatile in black and white

filthymindedvixen · 24/03/2007 19:30

Bumping this for the Style Queens

Didn't we hear good reports of this for the small of nork?

Could also wear it with jeans after wedding or for work depending on your requirements

Thanks, I really like the Boden dress and might give that a try, but the Next dress is too skimpy for me!!
I do like the black and white stuff at the moment but I think I'd like to wear something colourful. Thanks for your ideas so far. Any more?

I wouldn't usually wear a v neck myself (being an A cup) but I do have 2 dresses similar to this that I wear a lot. I usually put a vest/cami type thing underneath.

I always wear a gel bra from Debenhams under this type of thing too. Not v sexy admittedly, but does make a huge difference to the fit of the dress and more secure than fillets.

filthymindedvixen · 24/03/2007 19:42

Hickory, that Boden one looks great with a vest top under if you feel too 'exposed' with the V front. (I tried oit on, but colours were wrong for me)

If Boden is too pricey, Priniciples have some similar but bit cheaper and petite range is good for skinny minnies (if you're average height)

Thanks for your help. I'm going to try to find a v-neck dress to wear with a camisole. hopefully I'll find one that I can wear over a pair of trousers. Any ideas other than Boden?
