The one that the fashion press told us was the best dress ever. That fashionistas were fighting over. The one that was flying out of the door...

Well it seems to have ended up in the sale.

Who would've guessed that eh?

Grin

You wouldn't even be interested in it on the hanger!

JuicyCake · 11/07/2017 21:05

Saw it hanging in my local M&S last week. A sorry sight...

3rdrockfromthesun · 11/07/2017 21:10

Looks like all the stock 😂

Dowser · 11/07/2017 21:14

Frocky horror show

OlennasWimple · 11/07/2017 21:15

It looks even worse en masse

Gah81 · 11/07/2017 21:17

I saw a young, gorgeous woman wearing it this week. Even she couldn't pull it off.

But I will admit I did gawp after her - if only because I was thinking "oooh, someone's actually worn THAT dress" and then (just for a split second before I realised it was mean) "could I take an unidentifiable photo of her back for MN" 😂

Sparkletastic · 11/07/2017 21:19

It was like a mass fashion editor delusion

jesterlaughing · 11/07/2017 21:25

Thank god you didn't post a link. My bloody pop ups were full of that fucking dress for weeks! Angry

ShatnersBassoon · 11/07/2017 21:29

I'll hold out until it's 70% off then buy one to wear as Fanny Cradock fancy dress. I've already got the eyebrows.

I bet the bookies weren't even willing to take bets on that!

I will say something. The yellow polyester dress that was in the same campaign - the one with an waist that would have been a nice dress if it wasn't so yellow and so polyester - I saw it on a woman, the other week - older middle aged, tall, slim - and it looked fantastic on her. Helped that as well as the fab figure, she had the colouring for it. But safe to say, they found the ideal customer for one of those ones.

Only Katharine Ryan can get away with that pink one, though, because she's able to wear it completely ironically (though I thought she was pregnant when I saw her in it!)

megletthesecond · 11/07/2017 21:39

It was just too generously cut. I looked at the size ten which would have swamped me, then the size eight, and it really wasn't as small as an eight.

I'm betting that it will end being further reduced in the final days of the sale.

Shantasia · 12/07/2017 19:33

It had '70% off' written on it from the word go.

DianaT1969 · 12/07/2017 19:47

I wonder if they flog them to 3rd world countries in bags by the kilo once the 70%-90% off fails to attract buyers?
I did think that's where all Zara's flamenco sleeve tops from this Spring would end up. In a landfill in Mali.
