plain halterneck bikini for my fussy dd - how hard can it be? Turns out bloomin impossible!!!!! HELP

I am really struggling to find a bikini for my dd for our upcoming holiday. She is fussy! It has to be plain coloured - not bright so probably black, navy blue. Halter neck with plain bottoms - no frills or tie sides.

She would need about a 34B top and a 12 / 14 bottoms

I thought it would be pretty easy to find but turns out to be near on impossible unless you are willing to spend a small fortune - which I am not!

Any help anyone?

Dd is just beginning to think about bikinis. On the basis that I have never worn on in my life, I asked a friend for help. She bought DD a range of tops and bottoms from here None cost much more than £2 each and DD is well impressed.

Boux avenue... Plain ones nice, sale on at moment so good value and come in bra sizes so can get good fit.

BeautyAndTheBrat · 10/07/2017 11:22

Primark

sweetheart · 10/07/2017 13:30

Primark had nothing suitable. Boux Avenue had a couple of things but can't get a top and bottom together in her sizes

Boden have a couple of nice plain halternecks too - I think the style I've got is called ischia

MrsPringles · 10/07/2017 13:35

Next do bra size ones?

I was going to suggest Boux Avenue, my absolute go to for bikinis but I see you've tried there

Justjibberish · 10/07/2017 13:39

How about Decathlon , options to mix n match tops and bottoms

Fingermoose · 10/07/2017 13:40

Have you looked at the h&m website? They have a load of black mix and match bikinis (some fussier than others).

sweetheart · 10/07/2017 13:41

Boden falls into the too expensive category - £50 for a bikini......

I tried Next - again nothing suitable in the right sizes

Laredoute have loads, plain black mic and match bottoms. The MOST you'd spend would be £15

StarCrossdSkys · 10/07/2017 13:45

Sainsbury's? La redoute had a lot of swimwear at reasonable prices earlier this year. Gap worth a look too. They always have discount codes going.

sweetheart · 10/07/2017 13:49

Ohhhh Decathalon - good shout! That looks like it's got some suitable stuff and we have one nearby. Thanks x

Oh sorry - I did get mine in the sale so it worked out a lot less than £50 but just realised they don't seem to have the same offer on anymore. Hope you find something.

carrotfaery · 10/07/2017 13:53

Uniqlo has plain black bikini top and bottoms for under £15 on their website at the mo.

BSJohnson · 10/07/2017 14:54

Turquoise or pink?

sanitygirl · 10/07/2017 17:44

What about this one in surfdome sale
www.surfdome.com/swell_bikini_tops_-swell_kelly_fixed_triangle-electric_blue-263885
www.surfdome.com/swell_bikini_bottoms-swell_talia_ruched_back-_electric_blue-263893
They're doing an extra 15% off sale stuff so would work out at less than £20. They have quite a few halterneck styles which are fairly plain.

sweetheart · 11/07/2017 11:43

Annoyingly surfdome has some perfect bits but after 3 attempts to check out there must be a glitch in the site Hmm

worth phoning them to resolve? I've always had a good experience ordering with them and delivery is super fast

sweetheart · 11/07/2017 12:16
