...you have pasty skin and need to accentuate both? I look shit with just mascara and my lips look the same colour as the rest of my face without lipstick.

bronzer and mascara

Tortington · 23/03/2007 20:26

i think the rule is to not have both as pronounced as each other. so if you have a light more natural lipstick you can go heavier on the eyes or visa vesa

Bronzer? Where? On my face or lips? I think I'd look awful with bronzer, there'd be a tidemark surely?

Hmm, but I do like proper coloured lipstick, not deep red but plum ish type tones. God, I look like a clown and no-one's telling.

CODalmighty · 23/03/2007 20:31

no bronzer can be quite pale
i sue it instead of poweder
a quick swoosh

Tinker · 23/03/2007 20:31

Oh, sound similar to me Dior [phew at not the only one emoticon]. Use green eyeliner now, brown eyeshadow (sometimes a plummy one - nice, not hungover looking type one) and glossy ish plummy but not dark lips

I got sent home from work yesterday cos everyone was convinced i was too pale (just had a tooth pulled out) but actually I just wasn't wearing lipstick.
Which is my way of saying i agree, people get used to seeing you a certain way & only notice if you look different.
I need eyes & lips or am too washed out.

Aubergine sounds nice, might investigate that one

Can you recommend a blusher? I've never really sussed it - always end up with a painted doll effect.

im the same hun i have copper hair blue eyes and fair skin! i use a light foundation same tone as my skin and then a bronzer just over my cheek bones not too much tho! and just brush slightly over your eyelids to give them some colour! brown mascara! you can get some soft lipliners out there and a nice gloss lipstick to brighten your face!

Tinker · 23/03/2007 20:37

Oh, I had Mulberry lipstick from VV

hassled - I'm a blusher virgin so use cheapo Bourjois - but I like it - cute pots and comes with a (prob not very good) brush
