my thingy has broken again, I usually get ones years use out of them before they break in some way. grrr.

does anyone have any suggestions for a suitable replacement? I have shortish hair so need a slim barrel. it was the only thing that helped my hair look less shit.

hit me your suggestions Grin

Typically they come with a three year warranty. The company just replaced one of mine and were very easily dealt with. You can use the receipt or the code on the side of the unit.

mine has been replaced 3 times by them. they warned me last time they wouldn't replace it again. but worth a try I suppose!

Unhelpfully, I have no suggestions but wanted to commiserate. I'm on my 3rd Big Hair styler in 4.5 years... and because I bought online I got the larger barrel in error.

I'm hoping that when this one buggers up (and I know it will) it won't be a faff to replace, as it's from Tesco Direct and I wasn't given a receipt.

No suggestions as I've never found anything as good as the BBH but yes, mine never last more than a year either, I'm on my second replacement from BaByliss and they say they won't replace it again Hmm

I rang the company and quoted the number on the barrel as I never had the receipt. I then paid a couple of quid to send it back and they replaced within a week. still a pain in the bin and I wished they were made better. usually they stop blowing air out of the whole barrel and just blows out of the top but this time it only rotates one way.

its a shame as its great and I chucked my 20 yr old Revlon one when I got my new babyliss - that didn't turn but it didn't stop working either grrr

I wonder what the law says on replacing them. we have both been told they won't replace them again but if they keep dying within the year it makes it an expensive hair dryer. I don't expect it to last until I get my pension but more than a year would be nice

I had this argument with them, given that the product has a 3 year warranty it's reasonable to expect it will last 3 years of average use.

When they replace it. under warranty, surely the 3 years starts again on the date of receipt of the replacement BBH, but they say no.

So basically I'm on my second replacement but my three years will be up by the time this one packs in, which it inevitably will soon.

just rung them again and they are going to take it in to see if it can be fixed and replace it not. they have sent me an address label. so worth a try. I quoted the codes on the handle as I didn't have the receipt.
