Hopeful that you lovely S nB people can help.
I have a few lovely lacy or chiffon tops that I think need something more than just a bra underneath. I need an ivory black and pale pink. Have tried modal vest tops but they re not quite nice enough. Any ideas / links or where do you go to get nice (ideally not overly expensive ) Cami tops please ?

I know you said no modal vest tops but the Jigsaw long lace vest tops are very pretty - I have these for wearing under similar shirts/blouses. They have ivory & black and a sort of rose pink.

M&S do the Rosie silk camisoles which are v pretty. They're not great quality though.

String What's the sizing like on the Jigsaw ones, please?

stringbean · 02/07/2017 10:54

I'm a 34D size 12 and the M is fine on me. I struggle with tops that are long enough too, but these are a good length.

Ok thanks will look at jigsaw !

Really think the shirt needs a silk type Cami, but plain and simple,
I also struggle with getting tops long enough.

Not silk but I love the Uniqlo Heat Tech camis - they are silky material, keep you cool in the heat and are very easy to wash. I've had some for two years now and just bought more in other colours. Size up though.

Eeep, I mean Airism, Heat Tech is their winter range (also super useful, but in the winter!).

A sales assistant in the US suggested this to me for under very sheer blouses..it's great.

I've got a few of these - they're very fine knitted silk and great in summer or winter. Patra call them vests but they're quite slinky.

Bit pricy but mine have lasted well.
They don't cling or incline the blouse to cling.
Not hugely long in the body but I have a long torso and they are adequate.
Being knitted they adapt to generous busts - I'm a G and they sit nicely and don't pull.

I find the skinny straps line up with my bra straps so you can't really see that it's not a camisole strap (but then I am usually wearing a champagne one of these camisoles with a beige bra, you need the bra to match the cami!)
