Can you get the squeaky cleaning feeling of soap with shower gel?

Was given some soap and have been reminded how squeaky clean you feel. Never the same with the shower gels I use.

Does one exist that recreates it? Soap is a PITA for various reasons and I don't much fancy keeping a bar in my swim bag.

I swapped to soap from shower gel after Dr Christian did a segment on Embarrassing Bodies ages ago where he showed a local GAA team how to wash their bits. Apparently shower gel doesn't break down the fats in poop as effectively as soap does- probably the same with the oil on your skin which is why it doesn't make you feel as clean.

Can't comment on the Pears stuff, but you can get soap containers from boots etc which will keep it non-gross in a gym kit.

Aw no I wish it did, it's an old brand of soap but I love the shower gel because it is basically the shower gel version of soap

I've just read the description and it says soap free I'm so confused! Anyway it feels like the soap for sure. Def give it a go!

I have one that's argan oil, it says on the label for hands and body, made in France liquid soap and it does feel like soap

How could I forget?! Dr Bronner! You only need a tiny tiny bit though. Usually cheaper in TK maxx or amazon. I use it for hand washing and cleaning too

Dr bronners castile soap. I buy small bottles of this for travel. I only use proper soap- like what you get in l'occitaine as I discovered decades ago that shower gel gives me spots on my back. And I find ordinary soap drying. But I use Dr bronners at gym etc.

Sorry Poss, I am a wally - this is only a minor example! I was getting excited that it would smell of Pears, something I love. No matter though. I obviously haven't been on the look out enough. I'll pop into Superdrug and get some.

Dr Bronner also looks quite nice. I'm going to see if I can find mini samples of that too.

Funny enough, I bought some Dove body wash that is pear smelling without realising! I would highly recommend, £1 from Tesco!
