I'm quite sweaty Blush work long hours (care) and combined with this heat my make up slides off :( looking for suggestions and experiences of preferably cheap but long lasting foundation/mascara mainly :)

Buy a setting spray. It will make it stay put.

HCantThinkOfAUsername · 18/06/2017 12:33

Ops didn't think of that Blush

Ester lauder double wear for foundation

MrsSeptember · 18/06/2017 12:39

I've been wearing my normal makeup and it didn't budge:

Nip & fab serum
Nivea day cream
Rimmel match perfection primer
Rimmel match perfection foundation
Collection concealer
Rimmel blush
Collection cream contour
Collection highlighter
Collection loose powder
Collection matte eye shadow

All from superdrug and I walked 4 miles yesterday without anything out of place.

I find if I use concealer all over before foundation it gives me a good base. If I use foundation first it slips a lot.

Yep. Setting spray. I use Urban Decay de-slick ATM but have just ordered 'Skindinavia' bridal spray after seeing it on a Wayne Goss video which is supposed to really keep your makeup on rather than just taking away powdery residue

Lottapianos · 18/06/2017 12:56

Any good setting sprays available in Superdrug?

happinessbythekilowatt · 18/06/2017 12:59

@Lottapianos They sell ELF setting spray online at Superdrug (not sure if in store) and that's really good! Would definitely avoid Maybelline Superstay 24H setting spray though as it sets and leaves white powder behind Confused

Lottapianos · 18/06/2017 13:03

Ok thanks, will avoid Maybelline

Maudlinmaud · 18/06/2017 13:08

I don't think it's the makeup itself. I think it's down to how you prep your skin. This is what I wear.
Eucerin hydrating care.
Clarins multi active jour.
YSL touché eclat foundation.

No powder or setting spray and my make up last's all day without wearing off.

HCantThinkOfAUsername · 18/06/2017 23:45

Thank you all
My skin prep has been shocking..
Sorry to be a pain can you all share what you do so I've an idea?
I'm stuck in a rut

I wear my normal makeup and then close my eyes, hold my breath and very lightly mist my face with the Mitchum spray deodorant. Works like a charm Smile

Donttakemeout · 19/06/2017 10:57

Serum
Moisturiser
Primer
Foundation
Setting spray if it's very hot

HCantThinkOfAUsername · 19/06/2017 11:36

Thank you :)

Which setting spray do you use Don't?

10Betty10 · 19/06/2017 12:36

The Lily Lolo setting spray is lovely- non sticky and has been keeping my makeup in place really well in the heat.

Iamastonished · 19/06/2017 12:40

I find make up feels like it is clogging my skin up in this weather so I just wear a bit of fake tan to add a bit of colour to my face, and some lipstick or tinted lip balm. I couldn't wear what MrsSeptember wears in this heat.

RoseVase2010 · 19/06/2017 12:52

You need a primer, Hourglass do a great one that has been holding my face on all weekend.

WhooooAmI24601 · 19/06/2017 13:35

In place of foundation I use Chanel's Tan de Soleil in this heat. It's lovely because it adds a glow without looking caked-on, and lasts all day.

Donttakemeout · 19/06/2017 14:06

The urban decay one. Nothing budges with that!

Ollivander84 · 19/06/2017 14:07

L'oreal infallible is working for me. You have to shake it very well though before using

PatMullins · 19/06/2017 14:08

I use Maybelline 24hr and I have no idea what white powder you're all talking about Confused

I work in healthcare and it's fine for me.

QueenMortifauxcado · 19/06/2017 14:13

The urban decay setting spray is excellent. I wouldn't want to wear it all the time but it kept makeup in place through a ridiculously hot all day wedding where everyone was visibly drenched so gets my vote Grin Just make sure it's set before you put any glasses on, they stick to it.

HCantThinkOfAUsername · 19/06/2017 14:15

My skin has loads of spots that's why I'm after make up that sticks my own fault from sleeping in make up

Bare Minerals powder foundation, or even just the finishing veil. Looks good, is confortable to wear and has not made me spotty.

PutOnAHappyFace · 19/06/2017 14:36

I also use the maybelline one and as long as you shake it really well there is no powder.
