Hello

Can anyone suggest a good Bath or surrounding areas hairdresser?

Melanie Giles Bath (melanie herself doing the cut) and Artisan both been suggested to me. Also, Strawberry Fields in Corsham (Elliot).

Anyone got any feedback on any of these salons?

Thanks!

I've just moved from Melanie Giles to Artizan (or BA1 hair as it's called now). MG was good and a lovely salon - but a bit of a conveyor belt. I loved the first few cuts I had but then I had a couple of really shit ones and it felt like they weren't really thinking about end result. Lots of people had recommended Artizan so went there last week - it's the best cut I've had in years. Future visits may not be so good but v impressed with this. TBH you prob can't go wrong with either. If you want a really high-end cut, try Phylosophie in the Corridor - owner Miles is supposed to be the best in town.

I've used Artizan (the George St one) and LOVED my first cut. Went back for a couple of subsequent ones and was less happy - the nail in the coffin was when my bob was uneven and longer one side than the other. I've also used one of the Melanie Giles outposts a few times and been really unhappy - felt very rushed and not very valued at all, plus haircuts very hit and miss.

I'm currently about to book one of the stylists from a Bath salon to come to my house and cut - pm me if you want the details.

I go to the courtyard salon in bath. You have to book ages in advance but it is really lovely. They take their time and definitely not a conveyor belt!
