The trouble with glamorous underwear is that it doesn't necessarily look good under clothes does it??

Or is it just me that thinks so?

Thus today have purchased scanties that fall into the cateogories of 'dh pleasing' and 'dull but very comfy and invisible under clothes.'

Perhaps there is a 'dh pleasing and also very comfy and invisible under clothes' category that I am unaware of?

(I really should be doing my essay...)

oh no
i always wear nude eamle
s lucjily dh is not into underwear so its a relief

moondog · 19/03/2007 15:05

Yes,nude and seamless the best.
I hate lumps and bumps and seams across norks.

I'm with Cod on this one, dh not bothered about underwear, and I have a collection of nude coloured seamless bras that can be worn under just about anything.

tissy · 19/03/2007 15:06

..and you of course !...

Tortington · 19/03/2007 15:07

pmsl - no - and when you have washed it - the chances of it keeping things upward go downhill

moondog · 19/03/2007 15:08

Is it acceptable to put old knickers and bras out to recycle d'you think or is it too much?

Kif · 19/03/2007 15:14

i don't quiz dh in detail on his preferences, but I always think those lady boxer short/hot pant things (or quite low leg pants) look nice in funky prints.

post dd my norkage has shrunk to bra-insulting proportions, so I'll sometimes get a matching vest, which looks cute in a sporty/young way.

MrsBadger · 19/03/2007 15:16

I have middle ground
seamless silky microfibre but not fleshcoloured - looks too much like surgical support bandage.

Am so pale that pastel pink is invisible under white shirts.

Kif · 19/03/2007 15:17

my MIL has real log fires.

I looove burning old clothes/pants etc.

< i discard you - be gone!>

moondog · 19/03/2007 15:27

I'm a bit suspicious of some of those boy shorts things.
Some are nowt more than frumpy big knickers repackaged for the gullible hordes.

I don't like all the middle aged blokes hanging around the M&S lingerie section either.

I know they are perving.

But if you're wearing a skirt and stay-ups you can indulge in some of these . Well that's my plan for Saturday night anyway (lucky propsective dp). Haven't got a bra to match, unfortunately.

JackieNo · 19/03/2007 15:49

I'm definitely in the seamless nude underwear camp - though I suspect DH would prefer something more exciting.

CODalmighty · 19/03/2007 15:59

dh and i ahgree thta my best bra DOES look liek a prosthesis

Kif · 19/03/2007 15:59

At the moment it's all dh can do to persuade me to put my norks away - in a seamless nude bra or otherwise.

If I'm not bf,i'm airing them, or just plain forgot to fasten myself up.

CODalmighty · 19/03/2007 15:59

i siad to dh does it make a jot of difference
he said no my dear your rippling toned taught body does it fro me

MrsBadger · 19/03/2007 16:09

so slaving in the gym has been paying off?

doggiesayswoof · 19/03/2007 16:14

It's all made of lacy bumpy scratchy stuff as well IME - nothing alluring about hoiking at your bra straps all night because they itch.

I prefer microfibre or t-shirt bras that don't move once you put them on.

Pannacotta · 19/03/2007 16:31

MrsB, where do you find your pale pink underwear? I like the idea of this but cannot find much of it in the shops.
Agree it looks less surgical than "flesh" colour...

Aloha · 19/03/2007 16:39

I am wearing very pretty M&S pale pink lace bra from the Adored range. It's fine under a reasonably thick Primark white long sleeved t-shirt. I prefer the look of it to the ones that look like surgical appliances.

moondog · 19/03/2007 16:40

lol at prostheses
Ah Aloha,I think I bought that one today.
Lovely.

I'm not into men who are into the whole 'sexy lingerie' thing.

I wear matching sets and that's about it.

MrsBadger · 19/03/2007 16:45

M&S - couldn't tell you the range (possibly 'Body'?) but it has padded microfibre cups and lace sidey bits. Might possibly be this one in Pink Ice but I wouldn't swear to it.

Actually I bet this would be almost invisible under white clothes and is much better than 'nude' colour.

moondog · 19/03/2007 16:47

I want nipps understated but not loads of padding in manner of chicken fillet.
Seems very hard to get owt to fit my criteria.

Aloha · 19/03/2007 16:51

this one, in pink

moondog · 19/03/2007 16:52

Yes,that's the one-very nice.
Pretty without being slaggy.
