How to make my hair a little more 'serious'

Hi all,
I'd really appreciate some help with my hair. I have a massive amount of it and it's quite unwieldy. Currently it's in a long bob which I really like.

However, I'm also naturally Scandinavian blonde, so quite light. I usually just have some light balayage to get slight colour differences. But. I work in an extremely conservative, male-dominated field (finance), and getting sick of being 'the blonde one with big hair'. I also don't think it matches my personality that well!

Instead of going brown entirely, I'm looking at doing lowlights/darker balayage to get a more natural effect. Does anyone have any experience or tips to share of going from blonde to darker? Any horror stories? Thanks!

I work in a very serious male dominated field and I have naturally very pale icy blonde hair, but I also have black irises, am absolutely covered in scars and my accent from living in Russia for a lot of years is still strong so I seem to avoid those kind of stereotypes fortunately, I just seem to invite a different stereotype, so I feel you pain. I am often asked to say "You will DIE, Mr. Bond" Hmm Grin.

Could you make your bob sharper, iyswim? I think I have some pictures on Pinterest, I'll see if I can root them out Smile

Me too Loup. (Make dominated but posh English accent) have curly blonde hair so to make myself "less cute" I went darker have a sharpe fringe and straighten my hair.

I got my colour ideas off Pinterest. I went dark ashy blonde with a few side streaks
