I've been meaning to do this for ages. Have tried 3 times so far and of course all measurements are slightly different . It's a bit batty, but fun and is helping me narrow the list of possibles down a bit.

And having finally got a decent drawing of my own eye curve and its measurements I made an imprint of my tweerman curlers next to it. They are completly the wrong shape and size for my eye. No wonder I couldn't use them properly.
And so I ramble on.
Seriously though, if anyone can be arsed to read this it really is worth a go.

How did you measure your eye?

I did that a while ago and my measurements equaled a brand I hadn't heard of and couldn't find. I went for the nearest available which was Sally Hansen. They are good, though still not perfect at getting the very outer lashes!

I absolutely love this sort of geeky stuff - thanks for linking.

And I am thoroughly sick of the trial and error (and error, and error...) of keeping on buying new eyelash curlers in the vain hope that they won't pinch!

A more scientific approach is clearly required. I'll definitely be trying this.

Wait what? Eyelash curlers come in different sizes and people struggle to use them.

I've tried loads over the years and not had any issues or pinching but thinking about it my current curler (eyeko I think) does feel like it doesn't curl as well as my last set. I wonder if it's too short for my eyes.

I might measure my eyes and see.

Ooh, thank you!

Do report back those of you who measure.
I had to give the measuring procedure a few go's but eventually I kept coming up with he same measurements . I always thought I had small eyes, but according to the eyelash curler chart, my eyes are quite wide and on the flatter side. When I look at them I see almond shape. Certainly my old Tweezerman curlers are tiny for my eyes.
My finger is hovering over the buy button for he Kevyn Aucoin!

Place making for later. Need a bucket load more tea before I embark on measuring my eye but am ex cited about this!

Or you could use a spoon!

What a pita. I forgot I can do numbers. Disappointed.

dudsville · 03/06/2017 09:12

My top tup though is do be sure you're awake. You risk eye paper cut injury if you don't have your wits about you!

bigbuttons · 03/06/2017 18:21

yes, careful with the paper cuts!
