Can anyone recommend any of the above please that are stylish, fashionable and not fugly or old fashioned? For holidays mostly...

I wear Karrimoors for dusty/beach walking as they wash easily and Ecco gladiator type for more normal/browsing walking

Have you googled any images of styles you prefer?

Have a look at the Tevas website. They have quite a big range from full blown hiking sandals to leather wedges. I have terra floats and they are super comfy, can happily walk miles in them.
