Hi, am new to mumsnet this is my first post but have been lurking around the style section for a while and picking up a few ideas from everyone.

Can I ask what you think about this dress

I've never done a thread before so don't expect it will work, if it doesn't it's a dress on page 8 of the Warehouse site "Floral Dress Kimono" It looks nicer in real life than on the picture.

I thought about wearing it over a pair of jeans . I'm 5'5" size 8 and big-norked, I'm 47 but like to think I look younger.

Looks nice, ( here's the link ). It looks quite low cut, so you may well need to wear a camisole/vest type thing underneath for modesty's sake.

Firstly welcome! secondly, for the link, you just needed for finish off what you typed with \here} and it would have worked - not bad for a first attempt!!!

Now the dress, looks nice, but there could be a cleavage overdose - it looks v.v. low cut.

WaynettaSlob · 16/03/2007 12:29

snap Jackie!

WaynettaSlob.

And yes, I should have said welcome to Mumsnet too, notenoughhoursintheday.

Thanks JackieNo and WaynettaSlob.

Good advice about the vest/cami (especially as since buying decent Bravissimo bras norks seem much higher and are hence more likely to spill out over low cut tops - I jest not!!)

As it's still quite cold would it look too overdone to wear a long or 3/4 sleeve top under it

I really like it. Am loving dresses/tunics over jeans/trousers look atm.

WElcome to MN btw

I'm not sure whether it would work or not - it would have to be something pretty fine, nothing chunky, I don't think. Or maybe a shrug type thing over it?

Know what you mean about the Bravissimo bras - makes a huge difference, doesn't it.

Have just received this dress from the Warehouse website, but am returning it! It is very bright,a bit Acidic looking really, and quite fitted at the top,but the skirt sticks out and isn't very flattering on me anyway! Is quite short too.
Am disappointed because I have a few Warehouse dresses that I love, and can recommend
Bubble floral Dress in green
Impact Paisley print dress (worn by Lauren Laverne and Carol on Loose women!!)
Confetti Print dress(not sure if this still on website though)
Hope that helps!
