Girl's black slim leg school trousers for my slender DD - where to find?

My DD starts secondary school in September (so will be age 11). She's slender but average height so we have trouble finding trousers/jeans to fit anyway but, with the added demands of meeting school regulations (not jeans style, no coloured stitching etc etc) and being something a pre-teen would want to wear, it's looking quite a challenge so I'm starting now.

I get my teenage boys' (similar issues) school trousers from Next as they have a slim fit option and are fashionable whilst being within school regulations but the offering for girls seems to be hideous boot cut trousers or jeans style (which reviewers confirm has not met their school's requirements).

So, where else to try?

Topshop? They usually have a range of school style trousers and start at a 6. ASOS also have a size 6 and free returns so you could order lots of options.

How tall is she? Depending on her height, New Look might be good.

DO is 15, in Y10, but is dinky and a size 8. She wanted slim-leg trousers this year and found adult ones she liked in New Look and folds the bottoms up, which is very 'in' now anyway.

Would that work?

Thanks for the suggestions.

Not sure exactly how tall she is but she's not started puberty so isn't 'woman shaped' yet i.e. slender all over, small waist with small bum and narrow hips. I'm pretty sure an adult size 8 and probably a 6 would be too big for her and probably the wrong shape but I'll have a look online.

Used to get mine from M&S or Debenhams

My dd 8 and skinny. Next do skinny fit school trousers but not sure up to what age. Not bad quality.

If the Next boys ones are the right style, maybe try them on her if she's not hit puberty yet. Perhaps they'll work?

I used to buy next slim fit in the next size up so they were longer and my mum used to take them in so they were slim leg .. luckily now she has moved onto skirts because it was a bloomin pain!!

M&S school wear, they do a slim version of some of their school skirts and trousers. I've bought them for my DDs.

Best to order online, there's often more choice in sizes. We always order a variety of sizes to try on at home, then return the excess.

M&S slim leg trousers, extra long leg. For DD age 11 we buy the extra long leg in an age 9- she's average height and it works well.

Try Tesco OP, bought DD some recently which still had the adjustable waist even in older girls sizes and they seemed to be cut slimmer than others I've tried for her.

Wow - thanks for all the suggestions. I'll go through them all and I'm sure we'll find something...fingers crossed.

I had the same problem when my DD was at senior school. I couldn't find anything in the shops and got these, which were great as they do longer lengths, which we needed in addition to a slim fit.
