Which shoes?

I'm going to a wedding in a few weeks. the dress is skater style, above knee. Navy with a floral print.

My feet are big and i really struggle with finding comfortable shoes. My go to for occasions are my black wedges, which i can last all day in. Would these work with the style dress? If the dress is above the knee, would i get away with wearing flats/flatter shoes?

Any opinions welcomed :)

I think those might work.
I was going to link to a similar pair on ASOS but didn't as I don't think they were wide fitting.

SadSongsAndWaltzes · 21/05/2017 16:01

I think those could work too. I love Mary Jane style shoes!

hollyisalovelyname · 21/05/2017 16:37

I really don't like them and think as the dress is patterned you would be better off with a plain shoe. The pink ones at the start of the thread were perfect.

Lovely dress! BUT don't go for black or nude. Pick one of the colors from the dress. Those pink ones that Sadsongs posted are nice.

PipnJo · 21/05/2017 17:30

Unfortunately those pink ones are showing as sold out. Will carry on my search!

These are from Ebay, so a risk if no good. But they do have some of the dress colour...although possibly too dark?

Ah, sorry I didn't check the stock, looks like they're only available in a 5.

I know you done like exposing toes, but what about these peep toes?

Ooh, cross post PipnJo, the eBay ones look great!

PipnJo · 21/05/2017 17:47

Ohh they're cute SadSongs. Not too much exposure either!

EBay ones - i just asked for exact heel height, and they're 4 inches...may be too high. I'm 5ft 7, so that puts me off a bit. I hate shoe shopping! haha

Unisa shoes are usually really comfortable and I know John Lewis had some in stock check using the online app. A blue slingback medium height.

PipnJo · 21/05/2017 18:25

Thank you, shall have a look :)

Found these ones...?

They look great. Is that colour in the dress ?

PipnJo · 21/05/2017 18:33

I've talked myself out of the ones above.
I've found a dusky pink pair that i'm thinking will work.

Or you could wear a green pair?

Nettletheelf · 22/05/2017 17:11

DO NOT wear those shiny beige cork wedges.

Not mad on the salmon pink scalloped ones either. They look a bit old lady.

Love your dress though!
