How formal is formal? Also what sort of shape/size are you? Norks, generous or not, arms ok to show or not? umm, if not full length dress, how confident are you about your legs. and when you say 'fairly cheap', what's the top limit? (sorry about all the questions).

eviletc · 15/03/2007 14:06

ok.....charity dinner/dance full of old people ie average age 60+

i am 5'4, size 10-12 perkish though smallish of nork (could do with a bit of a boost as still bfing and it has really take it out of them

toned-ish of arm, would rather not show legs not cos i'm bothered but just because of the average age of the company i will be keeping!!

Definitley under £100, preferably under £50 and if i can get it off the net, even better

OK - so how about something like this - or do you really want full length? Any colours you particularly like/dislike?

eviletc · 15/03/2007 14:13

oooh that is NICE! though really would prefer something in anything but black...

that is really pretty though, thanks!

This is nice and evening-y, though there may be a lot of black dresses around.

JackieNo · 15/03/2007 14:14

Ah - xpost! Will try for some other colours.

Swizzler · 15/03/2007 14:15

JackieNo · 15/03/2007 14:17

Have to dash to go and collect DD from school, but in the meantime, Debenhams have quite a lot of stuff, including some in the sale.

eviletc · 15/03/2007 14:19

Hmm - no chance of getting to a hairdressers for a blow dry, is there? Even earlier in the day? I think with an hour to get ready, you might have time to put it up, though not really my area. Might depend how good you are at doing it - maybe have a few trial runs?

eviletc · 15/03/2007 14:28

not really....am busy at a kids event til 4, then have to get home ready and out again for 6....will just have to practice i guess.. am not too bad at hair stuff, just finding time!!
