Spring Jacket but not grey or acid yellow!!!

Have been searching the online stores for a pretty spring jacket - not grey/black/khaki as it's spring and I want to cheer up my usual dull winter appearance! Pear shaped and size 14 bottom/12 top so something to flatter larger bum and thighs would be good. It's just to wear with jeans and trousers really and plain not patterned or striped. Look forward to any suggestions.

Ive just bought a lovely orange swing one

luciemule · 14/03/2007 20:25

this one in green is nice
Are you after a blazer type thing?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 14/03/2007 20:30

Erm Yeah, I cant see why not because it may balance you out?

Or will it not make the most of your smaller top half?

Im not sure!

fishie · 14/03/2007 20:31

how's your waist and do you have a bosom? a short trench coat? i've seen some lovely ones. budget?

swing would have to cover pear area i should think, otherwise it might draw attention, so coat rather than jacket.

luciemule · 14/03/2007 20:35

Hmmm - forgot about Kew - I really like their stuff - will browse the jackets section. Didn't want anything too military like, which a lot of jackets are like lately - I wanted something more feminine. My friend told me the other day that double breasted wasn't flattering but I think that green jacket looked lovely. Thanks guys.

actually change of mind, you'd have to try it on it would be bad if it finished at your widest point, but saletastic

ggirl's one is very good.

luciemule · 14/03/2007 20:36

Hi Fishie - waist about 28" and not very big boobs at all! Budget 40/50 I guess or less would be good too.

really like the colour - will look at wallis too.

double breasted is bad if you are chesty, looks great with belt if you are waisty which as a pear you probably are.

fishie · 14/03/2007 20:39

ha sorry, trying to watch masterchef and look at coats doesn't mix. i was longing for that wallis one at full price but haven't seen it in person.

luciemule · 14/03/2007 20:39

does waisty mean I've got a big waist or little waist?

OP posts:
fishie · 14/03/2007 20:44

little waist which you hvae

bugger, stupid wallis coat sold out in my size grr.

luciemule · 14/03/2007 20:46

Aha - will have a lokk then - prob won't have my size either - think I might go and order the green double breasted from kew.
