I've bought (but still have time to take this back!) a dress from Karen Millen for a wedding :

www.karenmillen.com/gb/womens/clothing/dresses/boho-embroidered-dress/016875.html?dwvar_016875_color=02&position=56&cgid=dresses#page=5&start=56&categoryID=dresses

I was going to buy orange sling backs and throw to put with it.

Looking at the other wedding thread a lot of people say don't wear black so do you think it's inappropriate?

Thank you!

I did
It had colourful spring like flowers on it. Was fine.

I think it's fine. I think no "no black" thing is more about not looking as though you're dressed for a funeral, or the office, than needing to be followed to the letter.

Lovely dress
As you said orange sling backs will def add to the style
Go for it

Thank you so much, it fits like a glove so wanted to keep it, the sleeves are a bit 'flouncy' for me but I think I need to go a bit outside my comfort zone! I thought the orange would break it up and I'd wear it all again too.
Thanks again.
