Not exciting but which are the best trainer socks/ liners?

I know this one often comes up but would be grateful for suggestions. I particularly want:

• socks/liners which don't show above the tops of my trainers - or my skate shoes, which don't come up quite as high
• if possible, ones which also provide a good, non-sweaty 'cushion' effect I hate having painful rubbed/ blistered feet, specially on holiday.

I got golden lady ones from Asda. £4 a pair and on the stand with the Golden Lady tights so just throw in with your shopping. Don't move, don't itch, and the best I have bought.

Are these the sort of socks you can wear with ballet type pumps I have tried them but they roll down my foot. Really annoying .

Primark cotton ones. They're the best I've found.
