HELP! V V posh do - need comfortable but high round toe court shoes

Chelsea26 · 09/05/2017 21:14

As above really - going to extremely posh do, will need to walk a bit then stand and mingle for a few hours and I really don't want sore feet to ruin the evening...

I'm wearing this dress

prettykittyfashion.co.uk/products/emerald-green-lace-embroidered-dress?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=googlepla&variant=16090913603&gclid=COmyyOrO49MCFVdAGwodXsELlQ

And need some black (?? Silver? Sparkly?) courts to go with it.

I can't do pointed toes sadly, although I love the look of them, so they need to be round toe and need to be high to make my legs look thinner!

M and S had them in March when I was at the Trafford centre one coz my friend bought them.

LockedOutOfMN · 09/05/2017 21:22

They had black leather and black patent that I can remember. Friend got the patent ones and wears them often.

buckeejit · 09/05/2017 21:25

Gorgeous dress! Try clarks-I've got some fab wedge sandals from them recently that are sooooo comfy & I never wear heels!

DragonNoodleCake · 09/05/2017 21:41

Oh I love that website! Planning to get my dress for sisters wedding from them.
If you want comfort - go with clarks, I find them the most comfortable heels

Surpriseeggsforbreakfast · 09/05/2017 21:43

I got some great and very comfy round toe court shoes from Clarks recently.

Surpriseeggsforbreakfast · 09/05/2017 21:45

these ones

Iamastonished · 09/05/2017 21:52

That is an utterly beautiful dress.

MaybeDoctor · 09/05/2017 22:08

John Lewis have that dress reduced at the moment - for info.

Chelsea26 · 09/05/2017 22:10

Ah thanks iam it feels really good too - you know when a dress really fits you so you feel supported but you can move, and sit down and not have to breathe in the whole time!

And thanks for the suggestions - I would never have dreamed of looking in clarks - I think the last time I bought shoes from there I had my feet measured in the funny machine thing!

Those Sienna's really fit the bill dragon I'll go and try them on on Friday - thank you too surprise but those ones aren't quite high enough for me unfortunately.

if anyone has any more ideas then please shout.

Now it's just accessories, and hair, and make up and practising not falling over

Ruby shoo and also irregular choice shoes are very comfortable.

OnlyaBitStressed · 09/05/2017 22:20

I searched EVERYWHERE online and off, for comfy shoes and, remarkably, (and a bit shamefully) found the most comfortable shoes in Shoezone! ☺️ They were only £12, looked great, but felt amazing! (Compared to ten times the price that I couldn't walk in!) -various fittings available!!!

MrsELM21 · 09/05/2017 22:28

I recently got these...

www.clarksoutlet.co.uk/p/261110324

They honestly feel almost like slippers and are so comfortable but look really smart, they've only got a 6 left now but if you were a 6 they are amazing!!

Can you do peep toe cos these are lovely:
www.dunelondon.com/mobile/dolley-jewel-trim-peep-toe-court-shoe-0095503940046311/

Or these (heel too blocky maybe?):
www.dunelondon.com/mobile/adriane-block-heel-round-toe-court-shoe-0085508750003011/

My criteria is usually that they are made of leather as that aids the comfort-I find cheap shoes just hurt my feet now. If I can get the lining as leather even better.

WeeM · 09/05/2017 22:34

Or these, not exactly cheap though?!

Sittinginthesun · 09/05/2017 22:38

Can you get to a Dune or John Lewis etc? I have "difficult" feet - last week I went to buy sandals, explained my problem to the shop assistant, and then tried on literally 15 pairs, until I found the perfect pair.

I have wide feet, and can't wear pointed shoes. I find that Clarks and Dune are happy hunting grounds for me.

Iamastonished · 09/05/2017 22:48

Wow, those are all really high WeeM

CantChoose · 10/05/2017 08:50

I have those -MrsELM they're amazing aren't they! And they look so much better on.

Chelsea26 · 10/05/2017 09:03

Oh thanks so much everybody - I'm in London so can get anywhere really - definitely going into Clarks and will try Dune and JL too. Really tempted by those Russell and Bromley ones too!

And the silver ruby shoo's with the flower might just be winging their way to me as I type

It's not excessive to have black and silver comfortable shoes is it? Seems absolutely sensible to me!

My sister has just persuaded me to book a spray tan too - I don't how people do this all the time

Hi OP, have you had a look on the Ravel website? They have some gorgeous shoes (sorry cant do links!)

TheBlushBaby · 10/05/2017 09:17

These are my go to: eu.christianlouboutin.com/uk_en/shop/women/simple-pump-patent-2.html

Get them half a size smaller than you think you should.

Have fun!

Ginger782 · 10/05/2017 09:44

Chelsea26 · 10/05/2017 11:19
