I've got a Gucci pair which I've had for about 4 years. I would never spend such a huge amount on a pair of sunglasses ever again because fashions change and now I'd like a different style but can't justify getting a new pair!

What do you think of those really big ones, à la Posh? I like the idea, but I'm only 5ft tall so I think huge shades might make me look a bit ridiculous!

Mine cost £7 from Next - don't think I quite belong on this thread .

MrsBadger · 14/03/2007 13:57

By June I will have saved enough to buy prescription Oakleys thus and will hence be able to look passable and see in the sun for the first time in years.
But I am definitely casual rather than glamourous.

GameGirly · 14/03/2007 13:58

You do, Idris, you do! That's my point: if you spend too much (although what is "too much" is debatable!) then you worry all the time about losing them and feel guilty if you fancy a change, so in my opinion it's much better to have several £7 pairs!

GameGirly · 14/03/2007 14:02

I always buy Ray-bans ( not the wayfarers though)

donnie · 14/03/2007 14:11

Fiorelli and Fabris Lane are my faves - loads of styles and good prices ( around £40 tops)

McDreamy · 14/03/2007 14:12

I'm loving my oakleys and I have to take very good care of them after DH bought them for me to replace my Raybans I lost on a night out 3 days after buying them

am loving those Oakleys MrsB - I also have to have 'medicated' ones as my dd calls them - so although the ones I have are OK, I can't change them every year.

Anyone know where i can get cheap prescrip ones?

MiaWallace · 14/03/2007 14:17

I'm another one with a pair of Gucci sunglasses. Never wear them though, because they dont suit me.

puddle · 14/03/2007 14:21

I have Oliver Peoples with prescription lenses bought last year. They are classic enough not to date - I love them.

I have a pair of lovely comfortable black large frame glasses from F&F at Tesco. They cost £5 and do the job perfectly!!

I don't mind if my DD wants to play with them or they get broken. I'm onto my second pair in 18 months.
