Yellow Jersey skirt from Dorothy Perkins

I want to purchase a couple of skirts for summer because I have been wearing the same ones for 5 years and they are looking seriously worn.

I was just browsing through DP website and saw this . I love yellow colour and the price. However, I am 42yo but look much younger and I'm not sure about the durability of jersey because I would expect to wear this for the next 3 to 4 years.

I am a size 12 and have been told that I have very good legs. What do the style gurus think?

Oh bother!

I'll bump when it is up and running again.

Website seems to be down for maintenace, but jersey will sag more over time than a woven cotton, and I wouldn't especially pick DP as a place to buy longlasting investment pieces.

How about Gap? Their skirt range is normlly pretty good.

I got a glimpse for a second earlier, just before the site went down. It's this kind of shape but without the detail on the waist, and with a self fabric tie around the waist, I think - is that about right, speedymama? Maybe not as pleated as that (only saw it for a moment).

Yes, it is similar to that but without the button detail and it has a tie around the waist. I saw some yellow shoes to go with it too but now the site is down, I can't show the link.

I had not considered Gap so will have a look.

I looked at Topshop and I suspect that in order to fit into their clothes I will probably have to get a size 16, if they go that far! I did not like any of their skirts anyway.

OK, just checked out Wallis, what about this ? It is not as teenyboppy as the DP one and is more sophisticated. I love the bold print. I wish it was a bit shorter though because that kind of length makes me look stumpy as I don't like wearing heels when I'm not at work (I'm 5'3").

The more I think about it, the more I like it so off to Wallis tomorrow.
