Let's pretend this topic isn't called "style" or indeed "beauty" and could you please help me find some ugly brown clogs

I have a picture in my mind of exactly what i want.

I want something really lentilly and crunchy looking. Fantastically practical and comfy. Footbed, slip on clogs. Soft brown leather. Very wide. Possibly with a raised stitched seam.

I would say vegan / fair trade sort of websites except i think leather would be good. Happy to have mushroom leather or something similar.

Any ideas?

I think maybe i was not ecactly meaning a clog. Not a wooden soled one. I really want a footbed with one large piece of clog-like leather over the front...

LadyC i find those fitflops... intriguing. They don't look good for wet weather. And the colour is vile... and yet i am drawn to them.

Oooooh! I have seen loads of these sort of things.

Oxygen shoes do a Birkenstock version but much cheaper. Other makers of the asaid little numbers are El naturalista, Josef Seibel, Loints of Holland, and Pozu.

I have the fitflop shuv and they are on right side of fugly unlike something of that ilk from Flyflot. Flyflot is a step too far.

I, for one, am glad you've posted, as I have an ancient pair of clogs that are worn out and I want to get some more just like them. I am not known for my fashion sense (ya think) and they're incredibly comfortable. I've just checked and my old ones are Josef Seibel. I will just have a look for their current ones.

The only issue with them is making sure you're not wearing nerdy socks or ones with holey heels.
