How old is too old for this?

I think I'm struggling with my age and fashion choices these days. I feel like everything I like is "too young" for me. What age would you say is too old to wear this outfit?

You are never too old if it looks good. I'm 38 knocking on 39 and I've just ordered this one!

Another old lady of 38 here, and I would definitely wear it!

I wear shorts, mini skirts/ dresses, crop tops etc. (obviously not all together Grin)

If you feel good in it, wear it. I often get comments from other women saying I look great and they wish they could wear the same, I personally think most of it is confidence.

I was very thin all through my teens and 20s but had zero confidence and I would never have worn anything like this.

I am 2 sizes bigger now, but I have an athletic shape (weight training) and there is literally nothing I wouldn't wear as long as I like it.

Go for it OP, age is irrelevant!

Mid forties and I wore a playsuit to a 'do' last year - when my legs wre tanned at the end of the summer. Got a few compliments. I say go for it.

I'd wear it with tights given my white legs this time of year.

FannyFare · 01/05/2017 10:44

Its incredibly short!

I'm 40 and you wouldn't see me in it...and I'm quite mutton Grin.

I think over 25 is pushing it.

DavetheCat2001 · 01/05/2017 11:38

Just order it, try it on and see if it suits you.

Send back if no.

Simples.

Floisme · 01/05/2017 11:50

Is this like the 'Can I wear shorts at 40'? threads of old? If it is then I'm surprised no-one has been on to warn you of the real danger: that a teenage boy might see you from behind and want to shag you but when you turn round and reveal your true age, he'll be so traumatised he'll grow up to be a serial killer and it'll all be your fault.

Or something. Alternatively we could all just follow Dave's advice.

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 01/05/2017 11:53

I would wear it but with tights. I'm 33. I like it!

Judydreamsofhorses · 01/05/2017 12:40

I'm early 40s and have a few playsuits - I actually wear them with opaques and brogues in winter rather than in summer.

FatGirlWithChocolate · 01/05/2017 12:47

If YOU like it, and YOU think you look good, and YOU feel good in it, I say wear it. When it's time to shuffle off this mortal coil you won't be saying "I wish I never wore that playsuit".. but you might be thinking about all the stuff you wish you had done. That's my philosophy anyway.

You can't. base it on age! I'm nearly 31 but nobody thinks nobody thinks I'm even old enough to buy cigarettes, I look young, if it suits you and you feel comfortable wearing it then sod what anyone else thinks! You go for! (Ps, I don't consider it a "young" outfit, like....I doubt you'd see an 18 year old in a club wearing it you know?)

youokayhun · 02/05/2017 05:11

I never go out with bare legs though, so would wear skin coloured tights as feel it's less revealing, it nowt to do with my age!!

youokayhun · 02/05/2017 05:12

Ffs. You go GIRL. And BUT its nowt to do with my age!!!

seoulsurvivor · 02/05/2017 05:15

I'm 34 and I'd wear it.

And if I was 60 and I liked it and it looked good, I'd wear it.

Putting ridiculous limits on stuff is what ages you most.

BusterGonad · 02/05/2017 05:22

When I look at clothes I worry more about it being old fashioned than too young! 😂 I worry I'll end up dressing like my mother!!!! Confused

seoulsurvivor · 02/05/2017 05:26

It ages people soooo much when they start dressing like they think adults should.
