hand-knitted pale blue acrylic all in one for new baby, sized to fit a two yo

Not given by relatives, but a friend passed on two cardigans for my dds. They were covered in silver sequins.

They went straight to the charity shop

A gorgeous pink snowsuit bought for dd1 when she was born. It was lovely, but they'd thought ahead and bought size 6 months.

DD1 born in January.

Not nasty but unusable: a lilac snowsuit so heavily padded it's completely stiff and we refer to it as The Invisible Baby

a bright livid green home knitted chunky cardigan with huuuge matching booties and huuuuuuge amtching mits and equally huuuuge matching hat.....i was very much in midst of baby blues, took it out in front of some family and said to dp, put that in the bin!

WeaselMum · 12/03/2007 15:34

hmmm - hard to describe, but it's basically a white all in one, with an embroidered silver waistcoat bit with a teddy picture on it. Plus a bizarre matching white puffy beret. It came from dp's aunt, who luckily lives abroad and so doesn't know that ds has never worn it.

For his birthday PILs sent DS a ridiculous set of England football kit.... that's bad enough in itself, but we live in Scotland.

Tutter · 12/03/2007 15:37

MIL bought ds shedloads of this kind of thing

(all still in wrapping )

A friend passed on a bag of clothes for DD (then 6), which contained some shiny black pvc trousers. Glad I pre-edited that bag, I can tell you. I think the friend had had these passed on from someone else - they're not really her style.
