Dyeing hair grey to transition to natural grey- has anyone done this?

I have a lovely skunk that is a bugger to cover and my hair needs covering weekly. I have short dark hair which is pure white in places and I am tempted to bleach it into submission and chuck one of those grey hair dyes over the top.

A few questions- how many times is it ok to bleach it in a day? What is the lightest colour freedom dye I can use and not get a green effect? I want to go as light as possible so the regrowth is minimal and then just let it grow in.

The other option is a head shave and grit teeth but I would prefer a bit more hair hence the idea above.

Is he colour freedom grey stuff any good? Any advice most helpful.

(Also I am not going blonde as I look rank with blonde hair).

Thanks 🙂

I got my cropped hair stripped of dark brown dye at a salon and then had a toner put on
It took 4.5 hours
That was back in October
Now my hair is my own grey but I still get a purple toner put on every 6 weeks

Hi Badders did you find that the tone stayed in well and helped ease the transition?
