Cocktail & buffet. Given by banker. Likely quite stuffy so I would imagine the ubiquitous LBD but I don't fit into mine anymore. Any ideas? Size 12-14. Ta.

What sort of shape are you? Norks big or small? Arms good enough to show or not? Legs ditto? Any areas you want to cover? And what's the budget? (sorry - but it all helps find the right sort of thing).

Have similar dilemma at the moment

There are some links to LBDs on this thread here

I love this one , also this , but they'd need smallish norks and good arms.

Can't go strapless, too much exposure. Norks 36B, okay arms, bit flabby but passable, but would prefer some sleeve, nice neck, muffin top tummy, good legs but chubby at the top. I've got a pair of Spanx so that helps the tummy-bum-thigh issue. Budget under £100.

I love all the ones from Debenhams except the one with the sleeves, which looks too frumpy for me. Thanks for going to all that trouble wurly. I should have mentioned that I can't get to Debenhams & I don't think they do mail order, do they?

OP posts:
JackieNo · 12/03/2007 13:14

Yes they do - you can order from the website.

sauce · 12/03/2007 13:17

omg! even outside the UK? I doubt it.

wurlywurly · 12/03/2007 13:25

is there no-one that could send it over for you?

sauce · 12/03/2007 20:03

my dh's daughter could, technically, but she's so involved in her own life that she'd never get it to me on time.
