Good lord - in that case you'll have a 6ft exclusion zone as people step round the dress and the hair so they won't see the jewellery you're wearing anyway!

kittylette · 12/03/2007 11:33

sorry dont like it,

i think we just have different tastes, lol

kitty could you borrow a piece of jewellery from a family member??? On my wedding day I work my mums gold locket, I had looked at all different jewellery but could find anything that I liked and felt "naked" with out a necklace.

kittylette · 12/03/2007 11:34

i might not have extensions as my hairs still got 8 months to grow some more

i think you only need ONE thing. so either tiara, or earrings, or simple necklace. i personally went for a very very plain dress and big earrings, no tiara, hair down and curly.

but then i think you like lots of fuss... so get everything.

flutterbee · 12/03/2007 11:37

come on show me your tiara

kittylette · 12/03/2007 11:37

yea, i think its just personal preference isnt it?

Jane at graceful-brides.co.uk is brilliant. She made bride and bridesmaid (me) jewellery for my friends wedding last June. If you phone her you can chat through your ideas and or send her a pic of your tiara (love it by the way) and she could probably come up with something. She will happily change anything as she did for me. Sends pics and you get back to her about what she has made and she changes it if needed. Only cost £70 for necklace, bracelet and earrings.

kittylette · 12/03/2007 12:04

thanks, ill have a look at her site

Your right Kitty we do have very different tastes, here are a couple pics of my tiara, I just took them so they are a bit blurry!!

here

flutterbee · 12/03/2007 12:16

Alos some other wedding ones on there that I shall remove soon just in case you are feeling nosey.

Also I'm wearing my tiara now!

AnneJones · 12/03/2007 12:36

I love pearls - wore some pearl studs to my wedding, though some people say it's unlucky.

Two things;

  1. Less is definitely more for a bride - you will look beautiful in your dress, no need to 'guild the lily'.

  2. Necklace, dangly earrings and a tiara will make you look like The Queen, not a princess. Choose one.

MrsBadger · 12/03/2007 12:40

I love pearls too - I wore my grandmother's - but I think there's something to be said for doing either sparkly or pearly rather than both.
Kitty def seems the sparkly sort .

AnneJones · 12/03/2007 12:44

Mrs B - just read whole thread and agree! I love sparkles too - Kitty could try Swarovski for some gorgeous neat "real looking" diamond studs to complement the sparkly tiara. Eg THESE that I have my eye on - very wearable afterwards too.

kittylette · 12/03/2007 13:20

its not a huge tiara, its only 1 inch high, it looks alot bigger on pictures

CarGirl · 12/03/2007 13:26

I said on your last thread you can get custom made at a reasonable cost by this lady - this is her blog address www.thebeadfactor.blogspot.com/ think her website listed on that

it's the stuff she made for me on the blog link - she can do some really amazing stuff.

AnneJones · 12/03/2007 14:10

Hi Kitty - congrats on your upcoming big day! You will be the sparkliest thing about it even before you put on your lovely dress - trust me!
