i need some shoes for my wedding, have alot of creteria - hence the weeks of searching, and im going mad

i need them to be...

ivory
not pointy toed (preferable round)
not too high (2-3 inches)
id like a strap round the ankle so they dont slip off IYKWIM
and finally under £60ish

Kittylette, how tall are you? Have you considered going for flats? Bear in mind that you will spend 90% of the day on your feet and (iirc) your dress is full length so no one will see your feet

(I wore some really comfy shoes when I got married and I was sooooo glad I did!)

CAM · 11/03/2007 10:29

Have you looked in LK Bennett

kittylette · 11/03/2007 10:29

oh and to make it more complicated - they need to be closed toe as its november!

im 5'6/7

i think i need a bit of a heel because my dress is trailing on the ground all ready - it needs to be taken up - i think you need heels on your wedding day!! (saying that ill probably be cursing them by 4pm, hehe)

Yes they are all very pointy aren't they?
Don't know whether you want plain or fancy and what size you are. Here are some plain ones that aren't too pointy, in size 6/7 on offer:
here

Miaou · 11/03/2007 10:37

what about these - how close are these stylewise?

kittylette · 11/03/2007 10:42

ill show you some stuff i like .. (but too expensive/high ect ) so you get the 'style' idea ...

perfect - apart from no strap - but too much £

Ooh yes I like Diane Hassall. I had the same issues as you and in the end had some Diane Hassalls with an open toe. But my wedding was in June so I was warm enough.

mum2sam · 11/03/2007 10:46

have you tried in bhs? They have alot of shoes there and im pretty sure ive seen one with a round toe and strap.

Miaou · 11/03/2007 10:47

Ah yes now I see Kitty - a miss is as good as a mile really

mum2sam · 11/03/2007 10:49

mommajools · 11/03/2007 10:57

There are some here that fit your brief but cant see the prices.

Thinkstoomuch · 11/03/2007 11:25

Searching for these is bringing back loads of memories of my wedding. Planning the whole thing was hard enough, but it was finding the shoes that nearly broke me!

Not sure you'll have much luck getting the Diane Hassalls for cheaper as they're this year's design. But you could keep an eye on
www.confetti.co.uk as they have a For Sale forum, and eBay of course. Or maybe you'll just have to blow the budget!

kittylette · 11/03/2007 11:36

hmmm, maybe ill just have to go for something like this

after all they are under the dress

wurlywurly · 11/03/2007 11:40
