bought clothing from the local market!

I got a pair of knee high stripey socks, with purple and black stripes, and Jolly Rogers on them. (Ok, DS1 helped pick!) They are much more comfy than I thought, and fit fine, so I might get some more sometime - I figure I can wear them with the long shorts I have, rather than wearing tights or leggings underneath.

And I got an empire-waistish sort of top with a nice high neck, and a lovely loud Pucci-esque print. Very pretty.

Why is 'unique' an insult? :-P

School is about 3 miles, but on a Friday I am not tied to time. I may have to leave earlier to get him to school but getting back would not be an issue, if it takes two hours it takes two hours and if I have to grab a coffee en route, well hey, who am I to argue.

Three miles with hills? Traffic? Or a nice three miles?

Three miles should, in theory, take about 15 minutes of reasonably brisk cycling. You could walk three miles in an hour, I'd bet.

Most of it through the park, which is 60% down hill and 40% on hills and then less than a mile on busy roads.

I will be on my hands and knees for the first few weeks, but I will not be beaten.

style or cycling???
enjoy your socks.

MrsBadger · 11/03/2007 09:20

NQC they sound fab!
I wear M&S black knee-high school socks (5 pairs for £6 iirc) but as you know I am boring

Nockney · 11/03/2007 14:11

What do you wear them with? Surely you have to wear more than that under a lab coat?

I like stripy socks. I am sort of notorious for them. Dp just sighs and shakes his head. I haven't got pirate ones, though.

Nockney · 11/03/2007 18:31

Do you want pirate ones?

To be fair, I do think that stripey socks are more the remit of the narrower-limbed among us. I do not count myself among that sorority, unlike you.

No I am not feeling the love for pirate socks.

Nockney · 11/03/2007 18:54

I'm with your DP, you're clearly a weirdo. :-P
