If so, any good? They seem ludicrous expensive, but I like the look of the bikini - I've got a 10% off thing with free p&p.

it is v expensive, but lovely quality. i am a bit addicted.... do you fancy sharing the code ?!

skirmish · 09/03/2007 21:40

toast is owned by french connection...it's their 'upmarket' label, but not as high up as nicole farhi (also owned by FC)...so basically, made in the same factories, just doubled in price

marymillington · 09/03/2007 21:40

am a big fan, but wait for the sales
have bought swimwear in the past, really good
sizes come up v generously

MrsBadger · 09/03/2007 21:40

S07iEL

from Easy Living

OldieMum · 09/03/2007 21:45

Their clothes look lovely, but they seem to go up only to size 16. We chunkier ladies get left out.

hoxtonchick · 09/03/2007 21:51

thanks mrs b (are you in style shop mode?!)

hoxtonchick · 09/03/2007 21:51

they do 18 in most things i think oldiemum (how are you? are you back at work? hope all ok).

hoxtonchick · 09/03/2007 21:59

ok, have used the code but it's only taken 10% off 1 thing in my basket & i have 3 items.........

scampadoodle · 09/03/2007 22:31

I don't think the 10% applies to everything, just to what's in the special catalogue that comes with Vogue or Easy Living.

So, MaryM, if I'm a 12-14 on the bottom, what size bikini shorts should I go for - 12 or 14?

Am disappointed they're French Connection - they did the dirty, business-wise, to a friend of DH's

I love this skirt ...but sooo £££££

CODalmighty · 09/03/2007 22:46

god they are dull dull dull

brimfull · 09/03/2007 22:50

Yeh you couldn't get a whole wardrobe there...no colour.

pinkchampagne · 09/03/2007 23:01

Didn't realise Toast was owned by FC. I get a lot from French Connection, but am not so keen on Toast tbh.
My mum ordered a dress from Toast & was really disappointed with it, but I don't think I have ever used them myself.

faustina · 10/03/2007 14:54

...are you absolutely sure they are owned by FC? I thought they were a couple who lived in Wales. I have bought stuff from them and the jeans were lovely, also velvet dressing gowns. Some other stuff not so good, but always helpful customer service, quick delivery and easy to return things - the quality was really good and their things last and last

skirmish · 10/03/2007 14:56

yep, absolutely sure they are owned by fc

but i'm sure they like people to think its a couple in wales ;)

moondog · 10/03/2007 14:56

Expensive nonsense.
Frumpy blankets and curtains masquerading as 'beautifully cut'.
Yeah right,as beautifully cut as my old chemistry overall.

Tamum · 10/03/2007 14:56

They certainly used to be owned by a Welsh couple, but I think they were bought out. I have quite a bit from there- it's very hit and miss. Some of their things are absolutely lovely, some look like they cost a fiver from a market stall.

I've bought a couple of nice things from there in the sales.
