Can you see a really good hairdresser in the morning?

I'm too embarrassed to go to the hairdressers!

I've been dying my hair for at least 10 years and i've never had an incident like this before!

god that has happened to me too. were you trying to bleach it? when it happened to me at home my head didnt burn but colour was awful and i had colour correction done the next day at a hairdressers. recently i had my hair done at my usual hairdressers and it turned out like yours.. red burning shiny scalp, yellow strawy hair so thin it looked like i was recovering from cancer treatment. obviously i complained and they gave me loads of scalp repair shampoo/treatments etc to sort out scalp before they could redo the colour properly a week later. they did manage to put on a colour conditioner tho to tone it down so may be worth asking about it first thing. my dh was so horrified by me he couldnt actually look at me, and kept calling me Yazoo which he seemed to find hilarious!

I don't think i can wait a wwek to rectify this - and the cancer treatment thing entered my head too! I also think i look slightly albino!

where did you get this colour toning stuff? the hairdressers?

yes from the hairdressers. but they did it for me. i think you will have to wait til scalp is healed before they can redo it. please please please let hairdressers sort this out!!!!!
what did your dh say when he saw it last night?

kate298486 · 10/03/2007 12:36

he came back after i was asleep and i got up, put a cap on and rushed off to tescos before he woke up this morning! i've kind of sorted it- i went to the hairdressers and she said to try a colour toner that was a warm brown colour which i used and although its not a colour i would have chosen it looks a bit better than it did! i don't look ill anymore at least! dh hasn't actually said it looks ok, but he didn't say it looked awfull either!

i did this to mine, i looked like annie lennox.. the only thing that sorted it was a semi permanent in an ash brown to tone down the orange. is your scalp ok?

kate298486 · 10/03/2007 13:27

Yeah my scalps fine now!
