Ok style people, wedding outfits!

I have 3 weddings to go to, one in May, one on July and another in September. I need an outfit I can wear to all 3 and breastfeed in! If it would go with pretty black silk ballet pumps even better!
I'm size 8, pale skin and dark hair. and the budget is low (hence the need for one thing to go to all 3!)
Go on, work your magic and find me something pretty.

Come on someone, i want to browse these dresses too!!

DimpledThighs · 09/03/2007 13:38

loads of people will help - there have been loads of threads like this lately so you could do a search.

I am still coming to terms with the size 8 bit

JackieNo · 09/03/2007 13:38

Gorgeous skirt here with a camisole, like this , or a pink one as the colour in the skirt, plus a cardigan or jacket over the top? But am struggling to find a jacket or cardigan, so maybe not much use.

gscrym · 09/03/2007 13:40

How about this and get a different coloured wrap, cardi and shoes for each different wedding.

WaynettaSlob · 09/03/2007 13:40

A one month old child and a size 8?

JackieNo · 09/03/2007 13:41

I suspect it would be hard to bf in that one discreetly gscrym.

WaynettaSlob · 09/03/2007 13:43

how about this? You could just slip your boob to the side!

DimpledThighs · 09/03/2007 13:45

'slip your boob to the side'?! very attractive!

Nice dress though!

gscrym · 09/03/2007 13:46

Sorry, I forgot about the feeding part. I was drawn in by pretty dress.

WaynettaSlob · 09/03/2007 13:47

Not crazy about this , but should have easy boob-manouverability

DimpledThighs · 09/03/2007 13:48

don't like that dress much but the wrap idea is great

WaynettaSlob · 09/03/2007 13:48

or maybe this
(am concentrating on things that will go with black pumps by the way!)

MrsBadger · 09/03/2007 13:58

Are they different sets of friends at each wedding? (ie can you get away with an identical outfit of do you need to vary it)

I second the idea of a black and white print outfit
Not convinced re the wrap dress for bf without public exposure but if you wear a vest / cami underneath that you can hitch up, and hoick the dress apart at a lower level you may do alright. Do practise first.
A shirt dress you can unbutton midway down is also something to think about but may not be smart enough

A skirt and top would be a lot easier and a skirt / vest / cardi combo best of all.

Indith · 09/03/2007 13:59

oooh I went to express and put a tart base in the oven and look what happened!

Ok Jackie-nice skirt
gscrym- not great for feeding plus I've never been one for strapless.
waynetta- 2 months old , lol at 'slipping', too mumsy and okish

I do like \linl{http://www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/95192154\this one} but a bit pricey. Oh but I do so love monsoon!

doh! this one

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 09/03/2007 14:01

something along these lines , with white vest underneath the blouse?

WaynettaSlob · 09/03/2007 14:01

They had ones like that on the Debenhams site, so probably worth a look there.

Right, am still - both times around I was never organised enough to express AND bake when the DCs were 2 months old!

Indith · 09/03/2007 14:02

same friends but all recent graduates/graduating this june so most of us will be either varying one outfit or in identical ones! True about skirt/vest/cardi for feeding MrsB.

Oh dear ds has woken up! Should check my pastry too.......

Be back soon!
