I'd be really, really grateful for any help or suggestions.

Criteria as follows:

  • Short
  • fitted but not clingy (tight is fine but I need structure)
  • budget anything up to about 250 pounds.

I have very toned shoulders and arms so would like to show them off. I'm slim (size 6 usually, sometimes less) but I can't do dresses which cling to my bum which is def my worst bit….

Has anyone got any suggestions? I really want to look and feel great….

Thank you!

Ooh exciting I love a thread like this!
Could you post some pics of dress styles you usually like or even colours you like?

Neverknowing · 07/04/2017 00:11

Also what kind of occasion is it? Do you need a night out dress or an evening more formal dress?

user1477249785 · 07/04/2017 00:26

oh great! thanks for your interest! So DH is throwing a big party. I'm really looking for night out kind of dress. Let me try and find photos now if the kind of thing I like...

Should add, I don't like fit and flare and I am short...

Get a Herve Leger bandage dress off of eBay. Classic dresses that will make you look amazing and there are always xs ones on there.

I often look at those Twinkie and really like them. But I worry that they would just cling so much to my backside. I am slim but the weight I carry, I carry there and gravity is taking its toll….

Maybe worth looking at the Outnet site? I got an amazing Diane von F dress on the Outnet recently - not the usual wrap dress but a cocktail dress. Fitted but not clingy, and beautifully cut. There are some good bargains to be had if you search.

They are magical dresses. Seem to just yank everything in that needs yanking in, I'd not be concerned about your arse. Could always get the Spanx that mound it into a peachy shape and hoik it up too.

Bombshell dresses, which I heard about on here, are fantastic and very flattering.

I'm so jealous - I'd love toned shoulders and arms!

If I have your figure, I'd wear these:
