God here I am agreeing with you - I don't like them. Either wear flats or heels - don't 'get' kitten heels at all.

whoooosh - why not just wear proper heels then? kitten heels won't make much different and, imo, they don't look elegant or impactful.

Because they're the only 'elegant' heels I can manage to walk in! For me it's either flats, clumpies or kittens.

Well, I am 5' 10" so kitten heels have (sometimes) been a bit of a compromise for occasions when you don't want to wear flats and you need to be a bit smarter. Have worn higher heels for posh dos but can't walk in them and they hurt like hell...

because there are some skirts in which 'proper' heels make me look like a try hard/slapper and I am so short of leg that flatties will not do unless clumpy flatties for casual type wear which looks ok, and can't wear them at work....so kitten heels it is...

I think they were designed to cripple me, because I cannot for the life of me walk in them. It is like trying to balance on an upside-down drawing pin all day.

I have no probs with higher heels strangely. Must have hideously odd feet or something.

I'm cr*p with proper high heels - don't actually own any kittens (or kitten heels for that matter), but I want some because they would be a step up from ballet pumps. Sick of being in boots or trainers.

Don't think I'd mind looking like a flamingo...long slim legs, gorgeous plumage...not so sure about the big nose, though.

i used to wear them (am fairly tall) but they're a bit Kate Middleton these days, unfortunately. Also I think they probably make my chunky calves look even chunkier

They are for those of us who want girly heels but walk at a 45% angle in "real" heels.
