Ok if you look in my profile pics there is a pic of me, my hair is naturally curly and shoulder length, but i am bored of it, and always end up tying it up all the time, so what kind of cut should i go for?

I was thinking something like my dd's hair (which i cut myself) there is a pic of her in my profile too.

What do you think?

TIA

ooh yes i like

versatile i think - with or without clips - diff partings for diff effects

love shorter hair - am thinking of going for the chop myself

Dd's hair is a bit puffed up on that pic, (she is cursed with hair like mine) and it is cut quite close into the back of her neck, i am just so sick of mine, it gets too tatty with being curly, and i could straightne it easily if it was shorter.

There is a pic of my hair, if you click the photo link, it just a mess at mo though, doesn't look too bad on that pic (but then it was my wedding day lol)

Yes, very nice...beware of how short you go with your fringe though if it's curly!

ledodgyDave · 06/03/2007 14:03

My sil has hair like yours and has it layered there's a pic of her here It always looks nice and she literally washes and goes.

Nbg · 06/03/2007 14:03

Pucca, go for the POB!
Thats what I've done with mine and its very very similar to yours in that its naturally curly.

Its been great since I've had it done. So much easier to look after and doesnt take an age to style.

Hows ds? and well done on winning the comp!

ledodgyDave · 06/03/2007 14:03

she has a side fringe too.

LaCerbiatta · 06/03/2007 14:05

Hmmm... not so sure. Won't it look like an afro? I mean isn't it too curly for that length? I would go for just above shoulders and maybe add some layers to give it a new shape. Also, I'm not a big fan of fringes (if that's what you were thinking) you look lovely without one imo.

Nbg · 06/03/2007 14:05

Grrrr at your gorgeous sister Led

And I've changed my mind. I'm never ever coming to meet you in Yorkshire if you have those genes.

ledodgyDave · 06/03/2007 14:05

She's my sil and yes I know

Nbg · 06/03/2007 14:06

It depends on how short you go, with curly hair cos it always creeps up further when curly.

But if your straightning it, it'll be fine.

ledodgyDave · 06/03/2007 14:06

Nahh NBG I ahven't got the genes my kids have though.

Nbg · 06/03/2007 14:08

Ah well I'll meet you then

LaCerbiatta · 06/03/2007 14:08

Sorry was a bit slow... If you want to straighten it then that's a different thing. I still think it'll look nicer a bit longer... sorry.

pucca · 06/03/2007 14:36

Oh i don't know what to do

I just know i am sick of it atm! will have to wash it before i go or they will find think it is a bird's nest

NGB....Ds is fine, just driving me nutty 24/7 actually so is dd! How are your DC?

[shock} i have won a comp! haven't had a email or anything.

Thanks for all the input everyone

DC are fine thanks

The other thing you can do is buy a couple of hair mags and cut out the ones you like, then show them to your hairdresser. They'll select which ones will be ok for your hair.
I used to do this. I'd go in with hundreds of pictures and then after I'd gone through them with my hairdresser, she'd eliminated about 98% if them

Don't worry about not getting an email. I've heard it can take a while for it to come through.
Not that I'd know because I've never won one
