Zara sizing

Am a size 12/14 in most U.K. Shops and have heard that Zara sizing runs small - is this true and if you are my size, what size would you buy from there if you shop online?

I'm a 10 in most places (sometimes a 12) and have to go for at least a medium in Zara.

I did put a skirt back recently when I couldn't get into the medium. Couldn't be arsed to try the large.

May just have bought one of those in an XS because that's all that was left!
Usually a S, so hoping it's generous and anyway it hangs open
< desperate justification>

Well that will teach me for waiting - sold out in large!!

I've bought that coat.

Fits beautifully in small, I'm a size 10.

They will get more it's about the third time they have restocked it. Put your email down they are usually pretty good at contacting you when things become available.

Zara is a nightmare for dresses if you have tits.

Illtellyouwhatswhat10 · 22/03/2017 18:31

Sounds similar. I'd go with Zara L based on if you're usually a size 12/14 anywhere else.

I have heard it said that Spanish retailers do size 'small' so you'll get this also in Mango, etc.

Polly99 · 22/03/2017 22:16

It's true about the tits. I'm barely a c-cup but look like Dolly Parton in my new rather close-cut Zara dress.

TheGaleanthropist · 23/03/2017 02:39

Bit small, but it's mostly about the ratios. If bust fits, waist is huge. If waist fits, hips are massive.

Camomila · 23/03/2017 11:24

I find it true to size, am a size 8 and fit a small but I tend to find European sizes fit me better than English sizes (for e.g. the chest usually gapes for me with English dresses but not with dresses from places like Zara, mango or vero moda)

habibihabibi · 23/03/2017 17:50

l live in Zara trousers and jeans but can't fit into any tops or dresses as the shoulders are always very narrow and there is no room for more than a bee sting of boob.

carabos · 23/03/2017 18:52

I'm an 8 and wear XS in their tops. Bottoms are truer to size except jeans which are v v small. Very small. Very very very small indeed (I'm not pear shaped btw - 8 all over).

Thank God. Have. Ought some Zara linen trousers and my usual 14 is now a 16 (though they ARE on the comfy side of things). I wish there was a "standard sizing" for UK clothing.
